Today was all about spinning. Did a nice 25ish miles in low gear. Mashing is over.

I'm putting up with it because I find it comfortable. To the shop's credit, they did the exchanges for me hassle free, and I assume other Specialized dealers would do the same.

Today I made the decision, that I am going for fun on the dmr from here on out. No expectations made my session completely worth it.

Thats how I've ridden the BMX bike for years. Never really learned a lot of tricks, basically just go out and cruise, and throw it around on/off whatever looks fun. Its just as freeing as hitting the road and putting in long miles on the fixed gear, but in a different way.

The painter. Some of my artsier Facebook friends were putting up Rothko images as their avatars yesterday.

Today I: finally got to try out my new bike. Not FG/SS, but I put a lot of thought into the parts, and am really happy with how they work together.

Today I went to the SJ Sharks game.

Awesome game, sat in the 7th row and we won 4-0. Today was a good day.

Must be the younger and more edgy Fred thing to do. Get out while there's still time!

Oh yeah, today I'm finally going to get around to some bike maintenance.

Today I hope my boyfriend isn't still super angry about the freewheel the LBS put on his new bike breaking on this commute home. (They did it for free, but still it was his second day commuting to work on the new bike.)

I told him to just flip the wheel to the fixed cog, heh. one of us! one of us!

Today I walked out to my garage to find the lock busted off. My buddy's Trek 1400 was stolen, along with all my air tools, a couple sets of wrenches and my BRAND NEW DREMEL.

Police report's filed, and I've got a claim in on my renter's insurance. I had to call in sick to wait for the landladies to come and replace the garage door. If the insurance adjuster lowballs me on the ****ing bike I'm going to lose my mind.

My neighbors got robbed a few days ago. :C

All my bikes are locked together in my room in hopes they just steal my TV instead.

Bring back the "cut your hand off if you're a thief" policy imo. Capital punishment would probably be a decent deterrent.

if someone broke into my house when i was home i would have to buy a bag of lyme and a lot of bleach.

couple years ago there was a string of house robberies on the island perpetrated by a man dressed as a ninja, which obviously got dubbed "the ninja robberies" by local media. a man was home in one of the houses he broke into, guy stabbed ninja in the chest with a butcher knife handle deep, ninja ran out of the house with the knife sticking out of his chest.

i took this as "challenge accepted" and vowed to behead the man with a sword if he broke into my house

turns out it was multiple ninjas involved in some albanian crime ring that ended up getting busted by interpol in albania (with the help of a local pd member who had some kind of vendetta)

tl,dr: i didnt get to kill a ninja.

Today, I am a packing machine. So far I've packed up three 6-packs, four bombers, a wheelset, and a frameset. Now to find a place to ship them.

Sad day.

Today its gorgeous outside. Sunny, close enough to call it 50, and not as windy as it usually is up here this time of year. So in a few hours, I'm going for a ride with a riding buddy. He's busting his ass to get into race-shape, so he's been doing two a days. I'm horribly out of shape, and really hope that I don't end up getting dropped on his second ride of the day. That would be embarrassing.

Today was the first time in months I was able to do my ride without booties. feels good, man. Also, on my ride I saw a massive dead otter on the side of the road.

Today my wife found out she's 2 cm and 90% effaced (whatever that means... sounds almost complete). We're 37 weeks on Saturday. Probably heading to the hospital within the week to meet Jude and Jonas... gonna be a dad. Holy crap. Can't wait to build their first bikes and ride with them.

Went on a solo ride to just clear my mind and to kill some time. Riding against high winds is not enjoyable at all. I also realize now that I really need to work on my legs. Going up hills completely kills my legs in no time.

Today I had a good ride with a friend exploring the Verdugo Mountains area. 60 miles with about 2,000 feet elevation. The bad part was the heat, going through 6 bottles of water, and sweat constantly getting in my right eye. so much sweat. Nuun tablets are amazing, I just wish they tasted better.
