Speaking of food, we got pastries at Republique a well rated bakery cafe, and now getting sammiches from Mendocino Farms which is a popular sandwich place, to take to Angles stadium. The food in LA is quite good but I might gain a couple pounds because no riding.

I am also a member of team hangry. Liz had commented a long time ago (when dating) that she kept snacks in her car in case I was moody.

The Younger Boy tends to get that way. It was worse when he was younger, because he wouldn't realize what the issue was and he'd think his mood was justified - "I'm not HUNGRY! I'm ANGRY!" - and Mrs. GJ and I would joke about sticking a sandwich on a pole to get it near him, like feeding a hungry tiger.

Raises hand. But I’m so rarely away from home these days, it’s not much of an issue like it used to be.

Good.
There needs to be a backlash against all the bright lights on the roads today. I'm tired of being quasi-blinded every time someone in the opposite direction comes around a curve at night.

I managed not to watch a lot of TV between 1975 and 1985, and it seems I didn't miss much.

Spring is baby eagle time. Here mom is feeding one of her two eaglets.
A couple weeks later one of them is up and looking for scraps. Nest mate is hunkered down there somewhere, this is the best viewing angle I could get on this nest.

Those are for rallies or jacking deer or something. I’ve never seen them used on the road.

Adventures in urban travel: took a 1 hour public bus from our apartment to downtown LA (Union Station), now on the Orange County Commuter Rail to Anaheim. The cars are double-decker and VERY comfy seats, possibly nicer than Spirit Airlines. The train only goes during commuter hours so it’s Amtrak back to LA.
Will try to post pics of Angels Stadium/Game later.
