Might have been looking at the wrong geometry table, I'm seeing anything from 58.5-61cm. 1" threaded fork so early 90s might give it a 58.5cm TT.
Why did you make me look? Now I think I could probably fit on it especially if the STA is actually 72.5°

I worked at an Oldsmobile dealer in late 1980 (Briefly). They had the same 3.8 Buick engine as the Regal which was plagued by pinging. The late 70s to early 80s were transitional years due to fuel economy regs, etc. They could ping so bad it pock-marked the tops of the pistons which made hot spots which made matters worse.
The fix was to remove the cylinder heads and grind the pistons smooth, replace the PROM chip to change the timing curve, and install a bigger EGR valve. PITA, for about 5 hours pay, iirc.

CVTs are one of those things that make excellent sense from a logical and engineering standpoint, and may actually work as advertised, but which don't warm the hearts of enthusiasts. Going back to the discussion of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and its fake noise and fake shifting, a number of companies have programmed "gears" into their CVTs, even providing paddle shifters.

I go through Jonesing for a new bike from time to time. The Seven has been my main ride for 12 years now, about 70K miles. Still ride the Gunnar sometimes but I'd like something more forgiving, bigger tires, lower gears. Of course, I don't have a job now so that adds to the anxiety.

Kudos. I had a blue Olds delta 88 I got from my folks of similar vintage for my second car. First one was a 1966 Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer I got as a cast-away from my sister, who got it as a cast-away from my father.

Even more gross were the diesels. They were derived from a gas engine and they had plenty of problems. They would stretch the head bolts until they aerated the coolant, then the heater wouldn't work, the first symptom. This is what they hired me to do, diesel head gaskets. Might be the worst job I ever had. Hated it so much.
When I quit I told the manager I would rather flip burgers. He understood.

RE: Corollas. Also very reliable cars. Had an '08 that had 150k miles on it, no maintenance except belts, tires and oil. Would have gone for another 150k no problem. Sold it for $4,500 cash at some point early in the pandemic when used car prices were ridiculous. Then my parents sold us their 2012 Prius a year or so later for 3k, basically a gift. Sweet.

I hate to delve in to Trek talk but my E'monda is in the shop to fit a set of RSL one piece bars that came up for sale locally for half the price of new ones. Besides looking nice, it will weight-weenie my bike down another half pound or so.

In other news, my group got caught in a pretty good rain this morning. My wife's chain is on the verge of replacement so the rain is a good excuse to put on a new chain and is sitting in the hot wax as we speak. We'll see if she notices how much quieter her bike is on the next ride.

Pretty much like that. The rear window had a crank on the outside to raise/lower the back-gate window which was quite quirky.
