Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone mowing more than once a week either:

(1) is mowing because they enjoy the activity,
(2) is really bored,
(3) has a obsessive compulsive lawn disorder,
(4) or deluded themselves into thinking that someone will buy a multi-hundred thousand dollar house if only the grass is 1" shorter.

No other options.

In May, I have to mow every third day regardless what some self-professed lawn mowing expert in TN says. In about 4 weeks, I'll be mowing every other week and in 8 weeks, it will be every third week. Come September 15, I"ll be back to weekly and then twice a week again in October.

For the record, I hate mowing.

You never want to take an inch off a Bermuda lawn all at once. Enjoy some hot down-under mowing action:

Here's a good flick on your favourite film streaming service, something to do with all that extra time you have from not mowing your lawns enough

As mentioned upthread, my first car was a 64 Falcon Sprint convertible. I shared it with my older sister, which worked out just fine because then, as now, I rarely went anywhere.

Might do some aeration today if it doesn't get too hot. I'd better put a couple beers in the fridge ASAP

Here in the tropics we are LIVING for the everyday rain. Southern Belize is burning (fire) with the same heat we have here. Tixkokob is one of the rare communities that is not among the hottest in the state. And this next forecast leaves Yucatαn out of the two hottest weather forecasts. Doesn’t make it any easier.

I had a '53 Ford sedan and right now I can't remember where I got it. It had the flathead V8 and automatic. 2 cylinders were low on compression so it was one of the slowest cars I ever had. Still fun to have around to cruise a short trip. I think it had about 100 pounds of Bondo on the back end.
Mine wasn't as nice as this pic.

First car was a 1961 International Harvester Pickup, which I was "given" so I could go cut firewood. I loved the deal.

I had a 64 Falcon hardtop, not a Sprint. It was a deep red and was gorgeous when freshly waxed. Had a doggy 6 banger in it.

I had a good ride today. 68 miles and only 3K feet of climbing but sure felt like more. Maybe because the faster guys worked us old guys a bit. Started with 10 but one guy is on the comeback so he left early and the fastest guy was time constrained so he left a little later. The rest of us did the whole loop and 4 of us wanted a snack stop with around 20 miles left and the other 4 wanted to keep going so the 4 oldies finished together going a little slower than we had been going before the others took off.

One of the women, a tiny climber who is maybe 40, remarked that it was fun because we all seemed evenly matched and kept a good, consistent pace. My friend told her that was because some of us were riding over our heads and the 2 fastest guys were sympathetic. When we split she went with the faster group.

I vote for 3 because of clever wording.

none of the above for me

cutting every 5 days because of the large amount of rain …

if I let it go 7 days will then need to cut parts of it twice … and will also need to stop (too) often to clear grass clippings from air intake (or engine will run too hot / overheat)

It looked like the Mavs had no chance until late. Tomorrow is game 7 for Knicks and Pacers.
