Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just entered a contest to win a Ford and one of the options was a 2022 Maverick!

I was all excited to see what the new Maverick would look like, but it turned out to be a pickemup truck.

How disappointing.

SO I chose the Transit Connect Wagon. #minivans4life

So it's not a crappy compact like the original Maverick?

Interesting. Mid size hybrid truck. No thanks. I like the van choice.

If they'd just popped this body on a modern stang chassis I might have been tempted.

My brother and SIL had one of those. Eventually traded it in on a Citroen DSpecial, which was a nightmare, even worse than usual for a Citroen. So they ditched that for a used one which was less of a nightmare, but still sort of a nightmare. Having not learned their lesson about French cars, they later bought several Renaults.

The ailments are complicated. That doesn't necessarily mean the patient is.

The witch doctor doesn't get what's going on with my disease, and yet I'm a very pleasant patient.

I know that’s what someone wrote in the record, but we may need to seek a second opinion.

In this litigious era, any record a patient might see would be written with circumspection.

When I was a ute, it was assumed that school records would never be seen by parents or students. Later, a law was passed that opened them to former students. When I saw mine, I was surprised to see that several teachers had called me "Antisocial". I'm pretty sure they didn't understand what "antisocial" means and just assumed it meant "less social than 'not very social'".

What are some of the most annoying things that difficult patients do? I'm sure I don't do any of them.

Looks like I’m headed to TN in a few weeks. I think I’ll wear my burnt orange.

Not sure why it was named Leviathan. I was looking for a winter scent, and this smells prominently of tobacco and coffee. The aftershave adds some vanilla and the are some sandalwood and floral undertones throughout. None of this reminds me of ocean monsters.

I was undecided at first smell, but it has grown on me since shaving earlier, and I'm really enjoying it at this point.

In terms of shave performance, it was great, as I'd expect from Barrister & Mann.

The Vega was to compete with the Pinto. The Nova would be the Chevy rival to the Maverick, I would think.
