Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

rode the cab-bike partway to work because it was raining. After an emergency stop to avoid being doored when I went to restart the chain came off the intermediate drive. had to walk the rest of the way to work in the rain, without a jacket. At least it was only a km to walk pushing the trike. I'm not looking forward to tipping the trike on it's side and removing chain covers to get the chain back on.

Hey, so when I click on this thread and then "Go to first unread", it deposits me at the top of page 133, and I have to scroll way down to get to the first unread comment. Is this the dreaded LPLO, or another phenomenon?

Well over 100 for the next few days. Got a ride planned for tomorrow with at least 1 friend. Earlier than usual start and I hope not a lot of climbing.

If you had already read the last comment on 133 and were unable to get to 134 without posting, that would be an LPLO

Nope.

It's if you were to do that now that we're on 134, it would put you on 133, then you scroll all the way down, then click on the 134, and it still puts you on 133.

That's what the little lady says too. I saw the Tom Hanks commercial last week and thought it was gonna happen THAT day. Then I came to find out apparently there's some kind of legal wranglings with a local roller derby team of the same name...

Oof - that blows, given the circumstances. Are there dork disc or chain catcher-type devices that could be employed?

There doesn't seem much point to Stravaing walks/quasi runs. And it messes up my mileage total.

I recall seeing a similar product a year or two ago. It would be kind of neat, so long as it's not distracting. Not sure how much I'd pay for it, though. Well, I wouldn't pay anything for ones so ugly as that, but you know what I mean.
