I have; it’s a Hideriyama from JKI. I can tell you I wouldn’t bother again though, the result is no better than the from good synthetics or the “natural synthetics” from JNS. The supposed better feel, deburring, etc never manifested for me. It’s fine, the edge is nice when I finish with it, but I’d be hard-pressed to say it’s better.

I'm just primarily using the King KDS 1k/6k that I've had forever and stropping. The 1k side seems fine (though I don't have a reference), but I'm not a fan of the 6k side (through, again, I don't have a reference). I get results, but the feel is vague on the 6k. And yeah, it's budget, so I shouldn't expect too much.
Anyway, I'm just pondering where to go without jumping in too deep and was curious as to your experiences.

Someone just posted this on the knife forums. I think that it'll appeal to non-knife nerds, too, though -

Ah, that's one of the ones that I had looked at, but was thinking about going with something a little more coarse. Speaking of JKI and synths, that 2k Gesshin gets a *lot* of love, and it's finally back in stock.

It seems like the doctors are quickly learning what helps and what doesn't.
The latest seems to be that putting someone on a ventilator is really a last resort. There was something interesting the other day that suggested that they can detect people getting into trouble before there are any real symptoms of breathing problems:

whyfi it looks like this with the cap off. couldn’t send it private. I have since lowered the seat post trying to get the rear derailer set. It’s not shifting right at the moment.

Does the RD just need some indexing?

I would hope that high and low limits were set properly, but double-check and then do the indexing on pages 19-21.

I rode, it was nice. I saw Heathpack going the other direction, don't know if she saw me, I do kinda stick out like a sore thumb.

Got it to stop making annoying noises and to shift properly. My rear disk brake the handle pull is pretty loose, so I adjust that at the brake? Also when I use either brake it does feel like solid braking action like I would have thought. Is the normal?

And not quite understanding the braking feel question. Are you talking lever feel or the actual braking/slowing force? If you're talking braking force, the pads will need to bed in to the rotors like they would on a car or motorcycle. Resin pads are pretty decent out of the box. Metallic pads suck out of the box and need more time to bed.

TFW you're working on a bug that people have been blaming you for "breaking", then you discover that it's six-year-old code.
