I bought a set of adjustable length support struts, so I could lower the Wald front basket on my Windsor Clockwork townie. The stock struts are not adjustable and the basket was too high for my small frame size. This also makes them stronger, since they are shorter and effectively double thickness.

I lost a new buff after only one ride. With it went a beloved beanie I've owned since the 1800's. Poof! Gone.
I've also recently purchased a balaclava but genius me had the brilliant idea that it should be windblock - can barely breathe when the thing is fully deployed.
So tonight I went to REI and picked up a Smartwool PhD reversible training beanie...
...and a Smartwool neck gaiter.
Going to be 28° Saturday morning. Bring it.

Just ordered a couple of 3" ding-dong bells from Universal Cycles. The cheap Dimension bell broke and I looked inside and the "spring" is plastic ! I've got these bells on my Windsor Clockwork SS townie and my Salsa Casseroll 7-speed IGH townie.

Have yet to install them. Quality is awesome and they look cool as heck but they are fairly heavy.

I hope you have some reaaaaallllyyy high quality cutters for that brake housing. Or a dremel with attachment. Great housing though.

I have never used a dremel to cut housing. Have you ever melted the inner lining by doing so? Just asking because I see people at the co-op take their housings to the bench grinder to smooth the end, but then melt the lining. Granted, those people don't know how to use a bench grinder anyway.

The cutting wheel is the way to go for sure, used it a bunch of times. Never had any melting issues that i could speak of, but you could just use an awl or a sharpened old spoke to pop the cherry

franswa,
I have Felco and VAR cable cutters, lineman's pliers, Dremel tool and 4' bolt cutters. Are these housings that hard to cut? I haven't worked with them before. Any caveats I need to know about?

The VAR cable & housing cutter is what I've used in the past without much fuss. Put a scrap piece of inner cable inside the housing when you cut it to prevent it from squishing and cut quickly.

Thanks, Scrod. That's my standard operating procedure with all cables anyway. What's your honest assessment of these Yokozuna setups? Don't worry, I don't offend easily......go for it.

Figured. Thanks.

I haven't used Yokazuna, just braided Jagwire housing. I gotta say, there is noticeably less mushyness in the braking compared to generic wound housing. I can't quantify a difference in performance, but it feels better and the good stuff goes my sporty bikes.

hairnet,
My standard cable setup for brakes is Dura-Ace cables and housing on all of my bikes. I definitely feel the difference from stock. I got the Yokozuna because it looks cool as 5hit. Kinda industrial looking. My guess is they won't feel much different than the Dura-Ace I have on the target bike now.
