I was about to get huffy because they moved the cigar and Scoth threads away, until I figured out that they just melded them into this thread. So it's all good.

I knew what the 50+ forum was - it was, like where everyone who was 50+ rode to meet at the local diner for breakfast and talked about anything that was important to them but that kids didn't understand. All being cyclists, a lot of the banter would understandably be about bikes, but not all. WTF is "Pub 51?" They've just stuffed all of us into a closet?

'Cept I was done with the cigar thread. I was still interested in the scotch thread, but I'm not gonna go through 15 pages of posts in an attempt to weed out the post or two I wanted to read. >

I don't get it.
So I bought me a shot of Scotch.
I tossed it down. Made me want to holler hi-dee-ho.
Burned my tummy, dontcha know.
Chugalug, chugalug.

This is the pub where people get sent to when they get kicked out of the nicer establishments...

For you blended Scotch drinkers, give Sheep Dip a try if you get the chance. Laphroag and its kin are just too smokey for me. I recently had a bottle of 18 YO Glenfiddich which I thought was superb. I have a bottle of Malt Master's in the cabinet since Christmas and that's a nice one too. The Balvenie 12 doublewood was last years Christmas bottle and I thought it was really a good whiskey. Finally a new one to me is Auchentoshan. You Laphroag types won't like it, it's a very light Scotch, really it puts me in mind of Irish whiskey.
Do they still make Haig and Haig 5 star? When I was a young and budding Scotch drinker, that was what my friend's dad drank. So we did too. Memories. memories.

Hi Dan! Yesterday, I watched your video where you painstakingly explain how an AW hub works. It is most excellent. I'm preaching the gospel of your videos.

This is bugging me.To win the indy 500 with 2 laps to go on the caution flag is the most uneventful finish. This rule should be changed even if they allow cars a pitstop so they don't run out of gas. What do you think?

Its 90* on the east coast. After my ride it seemed like a perfect time to have a margarita. My wife placed the liquid mix in the freezer to keep it ice cold. When I removed it I said how do I get the mix out of the bottle? Its frozen. OOPS!!

I also enjoy a nice chocolate chip cookie or some cheese (Dubliner, Three pepper, baby swiss, Extra sharp cheddar) with my Cohiba/Black Pearl/Greycliffe and scotch/brandy/cab for a post ride reflection and recovery. Eric Clapton's new 2 CD release Slowhand, is my wind down music most of the time. Maybe some Bonnie Riatt or Carlos.......
