Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Or you can take the double Duth bus. The singer was from Philly. Sad story. He claims he was totally naive about the music business and never made much money despite the popularity of the song.

Maybe. My area has possibly one of the highest vaccination rates in the country and certainly the highest rate in the state.

I was in my local COSTCO this afternoon and saw what seemed like a few dozen pre-vaccinable age kids without masks and some pretty sketchy looking parents, too.

As you say, we're doomed.

That sounds dangerously close to an admission that science works.

It's only a couple blocks away. I would have walked there, but didn't have good shoes available.

In Adams County, PA, I observed that at the big grocery store in Gettysburg, maybe 30% of the customers were masked. At the little grocery store in Biglerville, only two customers were masked - my brother and me. And this in a county with <45% fully vaccinated.

I am not surprised, having grown up there.

We started masking everywhere a couple of weeks ago. The girls (both under 12) are masked all day in their summer program except when outside.

Not able because she didn’t know or not able because they weren’t?

We likely are, regardless. We got way too casual when things started looking up. It’s still going to be a long slog.

I think it means they expect winds to be tropical depression levels when the storm pases through those areas.
