Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Peaches are like that. My first peach tree I remember well. I decided to wait one more day. The deer had other ideas

With the wife gone, they’ve moved into the bike workshop with me. Every day there is a crash. One day it was a tuna can with an open Campy wheel hub in it. I just hope I can find the cones. This morning It was a shoebox full of small parts. With that one I’ve moved my daytime activities to the wife’s room as well. I began sleeping over there a couple nights ago.

Yes. About half are fully ripe and sweet, the other half will be ripe in 2-3 days.

Flying into it is a **** show and sketchy. High elevation, hard to understand controllers, last minute runway changes, slippery runway, poor visibility, wind shift, higher than normal approach speed. I can continue.

Slow night. West coasters must in their panic rooms due to the rain.

Yeah, that's how it works. Hence the mad dash to make peach pie filling at Knouse Foods, 2 x 10 hour shifts for two weeks.

Awesome. However, that's a problem for your side of it, not mine.

Just like I heard the old Kai Tak was terrible, but man that location would have been nicer than another hour-ish of taxi..

I was taking a nap after a long ride with neither hurricane nor earthquake.

No cane nor quake here neither.

Had a nice walk after eating way too much Mexican food.
