Mid-70's Raleigh Folder - $250 (Walpole)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Raleigh
model name / number: Folder
more ads by this user

This Raleigh Folder is from the mid-70's but it looks almost like new. We're the 2nd owners of this bike, and it's always been stored indoors in a dry basement.

It has 20" wheels and a 3-Speed Sturmey-Archer hub. It was recently tuned up and the drivetrain and brakes are in good working order. The hubs were disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated and the wheels were trued. The paint looks great and there is little if any surface rust anywhere on the bike.
It has a rear rack and its original Brooks saddle.

I'll accept reasonable offers. Thanks!

No. I had asked to buy only the case, but it was already sold, with the bike. He said he had another. Being outside the country, I never deal with CL. I hope he's legit.

I don't know much about early 8sp Capag Ergopower, wild guess it's the entry level version (think I see Daytona on the front brake) & a TrueTemper tubeset. Nice and clean, ticks a couple of boxes for someone I reckon.
What would happen if a few of us made lowball-ish offers?

That is an odd one. Wacky.

51cm Waterford Road Campagnolo Record 9 - $850 (Somerville)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
Medford at Lowell
(google map)

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Waterford Precision Cycles
size / dimensions: st: 51; tt: 53
Excelent lugged steel road bike with mixed Campy 9spd group (mostly record). This bike is stiff, agressive, and light. It has loads of retro style, but a comfortable modern ride. Great for looking cool without getting dropped.

The bike is in good - excelent condition. There are minor scrapes. It definitely needs new bar tape.

Frame: Waterford w/ Henry James lugs and dropouts, 51cm seat tube. 53cm top tube.
Fork: Waterford w/ Henry James tips and crown, chromed
Front wheel: record hub / mavic rim
Rear wheel: chorus hub / DT swiss rim
Shifters: record 9
Cranks: record
Deraileurs: record 9 titanium
Headset: stronglight
Handle bars: Cinelli criterium
Seat post: Thompson set-back
Saddle: Vetta (cool and very uncommon)

Pedals not included

Reach out with questions or for a test ride.

All the pantographed parts make this a decent deal... Had one of these and it rode pretty well, but a little heavy.

It was priced at $275 and I almost posted it on the other ebay/craigslist thread for ridiculous listings

It's now down to $120. If it was 1 size up I would've snapped it up
20" Schwinn Super Sport, early 70s (lacking the integrated DR hanger).

Love to have it but the front end looks too steep, like the frame tubes buckled behind the head tube.
