Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I had this eye thing going on for Several weeks where it would get swollen and painful then get better- it was just my eyelid and at first I thought it was just a stye. I finally got fed up and went to my doctor and it turns out that it’s a mild case of shingles. This is the second time I’ve had it!

NSFW I would keep the volume low. Laugh as loud as you want though.

Visual approximation of Mojo31 trying to cook.

I'm actually the cook in the family. Wife and daughter hate cooking. Son and I enjoy it.

Of course, you have to eat meat if you want an invitation.

Kudos.

One of my friends, also named Doug, is a super mighty cyclist and is currently on day 2 of a 3 day ride from here to Boston. I believe he is doing well over 100 miles and over 10K feet of climbing per day.

are you saying the weather outside is frightful? I saw a live look-in of the Twins game last night and it was a deluge. Flooding the dugouts.

That's crazy.

I have planned relatively low mileages. Longest day is 60 miles with about 3,700' of climbing. About 13% of that day is unpaved:

Routes · Ride with GPS

Then a day off then 56 with 4,200':

Routes · Ride with GPS

Jay Peak on the last day should be "fun":

Routes · Ride with GPS

I rode it W-E unloaded way back in 2010.

With mine, the pocket turns inside out. And you just stuff the jacket inside the reversed pocket. Then zip up the zipper. The zipper will be backwards though.

Grrrrr..... I needed a seat for my older bike. I had a Romin Evo on it, I have 3 of them. Butt don't like it. I had to pay way more than I wanted to for a Romin expert. Romin evo is not= to Romin Expert. Then I found out its coming from Japan....2 weeks. Bugger!

I think what he does is crazy, but normal cyclists think what I do is crazy.
