Roll call for the vintage Cannondale fans--have I got some deals for you!!

A Black Lightning frame for just $50, currently suffering under duress BUT with a number of nice Shimano 600 components (6400-era, with dual pivot brakes!), even including a few original Sprint components. Save the poor thing!

The second deal is a sweet pair of His & Hers vintage aluminum steeds. $175 OBO for the pair! Holy moly! One of them is a 63cm version of the 66cm version (same year and paint color, an SR800) I had a few years back. This is A LOT OF BIKE(S) for the money. Heck, even just two framesets for that price is worth it (IMO, of course). I'm full up on Cannondales, having a 1990 STxxx, a 1991 SC2000, and a 2015 CAAD10 Black Inc. Disc (which is smokin' hot BTW). And this is after being full up on both Treks and Schwinns (I love America. No kidding, right?). You know you want 'em.

Fuji Cambridge VI. Not exotic but an interesting machine and distinctive when it arrived in the U.S. market in the early '80s. Non-level top tube men's frame for taller head tube and more upright seating position, factory rack and folding baskets, factory Sanyo BB generator light set, factory locking rear axle kickstand, factory alloy fenders, factory Technomic stem. They also made the Cambridge III with steel rims and a Sturmey 3-speed instead of the derailleur. This one looks to be in showroom shape and very reasonably priced. I should buy it. I might have assembled and sold it way back when.

Spotted on eBay

Disregard the price, quite the storyline. 1968 Colnago Super number 1 in the raw.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F173627901353

Description

It is assumed to be the first type of the Colnago Super model; in fact, it has the box of the bottom bracket with a single hole, typical of the Freccia model and the conjunctions of the first Super. The #1 is stamped on the rear dropouts and fork tube; it is assumed to be the first Colnago Super built in 1968. At the time, Colnago contracted the welding of the frames to the F.lli Volta workshop and the welder, it is assumed, was that Mario Rossin who laters he employed at the Colnago and in 1970 founded the Cicli Rossin. The bike was originally varnished in amaranth color and referred to the name Cattaneo (probably the name of the rider who used it). Later, it was painted in pink and then abandoned for 30 years. In order to respect perfectly weldings, markings, conjunctions of the frame, the paint stripping has been carried out chemically and not by sandblasting. The choice of the restoration of the frame with transparent paint (alkyd-melamine resin, 4 layers) was made to show the details of the frame: pantographs, stampings (note the Columbus on the fork legs -possible only without sandblasting and transparent paint-, Campagnolo on the dropouts and the number 1 from Colnago on rear dropout and on the fork's tube), conjunctions, silver-oxide oxy-torch brazing and filings with colored paint would not be visible. Also the components, have been restored with a conservative policy: the aluminum parts have been washed and polished. Those in steel and brass have been cleaned and mechanically polished. The components are Campagnolo Record first type (note no date on the rear derailleur and shape brake levers). Available other photos, also before the restoration in pink and rust conditions.

Someone is trying to sell one in the Dallas area on offerup for $500. Seems a bit...optimistic.

Tommasini Super Prestige in Montana

Bozeman, Montana CL Tommasini Super Prestige. Description and photos are poor, and it needs a good cleaning. It's not a particular bargain at $700 asking, but that's a pretty good starting price compared to what people usually ask for these bikes. It's not one of the jazzy Tommasini paint jobs, and is a real Franken-build, but it looks like it has potential. I've texted with the seller, and he's sent me some better photos, which I've posted above. By the way, this is likely an 84-85 Super Prestige, not early 90s.

I am so curious about the backstory, so I sent the owner an email asking why these mods were done. I'm thinking his nickname is "Quadzilla" and he was experimenting with his time trial position for optimal performance. There was a period around the late 90s-early 2000s when triathletes who weren't getting the results they wanted with steep seat angles (usually 78-80 degrees) were being advised their personal anatomy might work better with a more classic road bike position and seat angle (73 degrees). John Cobb, one time Lance's aerodynamic/TT consultant, was one of the leading proponents of this position. The Softride TT was considered a very fast and aerodynamic frame back then, though best used on relatively flat courses with relatively few turns by riders who had a smooth pedal stroke.

Serotta Team Coors Lite Race Bike - 56 cm - $750 (New Hope, PA)

"This is an Original Vintage and rare 1991 Serotta Team Coors Lite Race bike that was acquired by the seller in 1992 in Boston. Shimano 600 components with Mavic wheels. Original seat post is included. The bike is in overall good original condition. There are some paint chips as shown in the photos and a slight dent on the top tube. Great bike for an avid bike collector or just ride it and enjoy the great frame and fast response."

Some background on the Team Bikes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nb2y...ature=youtu.be

https://www.bikeradar.com/us/road/ge...olorado-42329/

Buyer can arrange shipping and I will deliver bike to where it needs to be shipped but only within 20 miles of New Hope PA.

If you want the bike packed in a box and shipped the cost will be an additional $70 plus the shipping cost. The bike would be boxed at New Hope Cyclery in New Hope PA and picked up by shipper there, buyer can add the boxing cost, $70, to the final price or can arrange direct payment to New Hope Cyclery.

BTC or ETH accepted.

Someone should flag that ^^^^^ post - obviously a bike shop posting "as owner", not paying their way.

This is so cool and only 10 miles from my job. I'm going to convince myself that 56 is just a hair too big for me. No room in the stable.

Not a real team issue bike, but a team tribute bike.
Still, a very nice bike.

Rickshaw from Bombay

It isn't fast but you can bring your friends!

also when going to the pub you could take turns being designated rider!

what this is not is a prime candidate for offering to facilitate shipping for!

how would you use it?

Shimano Deore DX system w/triple Biopace chainwheel and 7-speed rear cluster. Rear pannier rack.

That's an awesome deal, but check out the last two photos; they're clearly of a different frame. The last one, at least, is a carbon Trek frame -- maybe the seller has a carbon Trek for sale, too, and got mixed up.

That would explain my confusion with the 105 crankset.

Lotus Dx-5000 on LA craigslist

I can't post URL's yet, but there's a nice Lotus on the losangeles craigslist

From the picture, it looks like maybe a 56? Owner doesn't seem to know much about the bike. Regardless the price seems pretty good, and the bike looks solid.

Wish it was a 58 and closer to me.... that's a bike I would like to own. Gotta love purple....

Brain freeze--- yes, Panasonic.

I think the ad was edited--- could have sworn it listed a price of $150 when I first looked at it.
