The last roll I bought, about five years ago, was in one of the "out-back" drawers at my L.B.S. (actually, it was Bikeman, who has a presence on YouTube). All he had was one color, but I am diggin' it. Go ahead and ask locally at your better (older) shoppes. They might have some kicking around. Another shoppe around here sells Newbaum's cotton, too, so I'm a bit lucky.

I’ve been looking for the Schwinn opaque blue on and off for a couple of years. That color was popular around here for a few years only, and dealers I’ve seen at swaps say it is rare to find. Hopefully someone tells me I am wrong and points me to a supply. I have that tape still on one of my 73 SuperSports, but it is in poor shape,
Original tape
I would also like to put it on another 73 that I restored to nearly stock. I found some nice padded blue tape, but it isn’t the stock plastic. As an aside, I couldn’t force myself to put a Huret Alvit rear derailleur back on it either.
I never really had a problem with the thin plastic Schwinn tape. I now happily use Newbaums mostly, but the plastic does just belong on some bikes.
