I admire your courage and thanks for the good reminder. I have family history with cancer and can easily see myself in your shoes, I hope to have as good of a mindset. Best wishes.

Enjoy the time you have left as best you can...every time I read of things like this it really makes me think of my situation in life and even though I don't know you your words touch a person real deep. Be happy

Joe, We've never met, but I share your disdain for chemo. Although, my lymphoma spread through my body and brain it was the chrome that gave me blood clots, a collapsed lung, pneumonia and a perforated colon. Looking back, I had it easy.
Please know you are in my prayers. Your family is as well, since we both know, they often have it so much worse. God bless,
Steve

PJ the first time I met you, I dragged a DSLR camera up the stupid hill and enjoyed the views and company along the climb to the shed. I remember it was hot fire danger day and our planned sag couldn't get past the gates. So limited water but still good time. The next day the Mt was on fire so it was good timing to meet new faces and friends. Some of those I still ride with or see on here often. You and your family are always in my prayers, sucks life has dealt you this card. You are a good dude Can't wait to see you beat this and get a hand cycle

I know!! Looking at the old pics, we did this ride a few weeks before I got the Cannondale super6.
two of us made it to the village, I remember I ran out of water on GRR (seems to happen allot). I didn't even want to eat a the spot there, refilled at the postal a few time and headed back out of the heat. Eja went down Baldy Rd and took foothills over in I assume hot head wind. I saw him as I was driving away near the Starbucks.
Reading the report, you had a silly football game that you couldn't be late for

I missed this one somehow, Joe you are showing more class than anyone here, or anywhere else for that fact. Now I wish I had sent you the 50+ jersey back many years ago. Prayers for strength and peace for you and your entire family. Including all of us in your extended BF family.
Jeese, this really bites.

So sad to read this PJ! I hope your time left is comfortable and surrounded by family and friends. Thanks for all you have done for the cycling community!
Wish we could have shared a ride IRL.

Thank you all for the kind words. I have effectively flushed the chemo out of my system and am enjoying this period of feeling good. I feel better now than I have in well over a year! That will change as the cancer grows, but for now, life is good!

Although, a few days ago, A new pain popped up in my back, and both my wife and my nurse noticed a bump at the same spot. This may be the beginning of when things start to get more challenging. Bring on the good stuff!
