This is a question to the IT people here, especially those in IT security. I hate having so many passwords, but what drives me NUTS is that many of my accounts insist that I CHANGE my password every month or two. It's ridiculous. And I can't "recycle" an old password or toggle back-and-forth between two different ones.
The end result is that I have to have a piece of paper with all my passwords written down. And between work-related systems I use and non-work systems, we are talking EASILY 25-30 passwords.
Is this nuts? Or am I just getting old?

Hi All!
I've signed myself up to do the 400 mile Erie Canal Ride and I'm interested in recording and sharing the ride. I know there are GPS bike computers, but I'm not interested in elevation, pace and heart rate and all that. Just the route interests me. Is there a basic bike GPS that records, saves and shares this? Also, I don't want to spend a ton of money.

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid the battery drain as there is limited opportunity to charge devices at the end of the day. And since I'm not in elite shape, I'll not be among the first to finish each day's ride.

Same here. I have a game tomorrow so no exertion the day before, not even a brisk walk, not even to mow the lawn. At this age we don't recharge fully overnight.

So the wife and I both charged our iPhones to 100% last night before bedtime. When we awoke this morning her battery was down to 55% while mine was only down to 88%. This not only demonstrates the drain the app Find My Friends puts on the devices, but also the fact Mrs BD needs to get her older, weak battery replaced with a new one. (My phone is just 8 months old, her phone is like 3 years old.)

Yes. At about 2 years old the iPhone 6 batteries pretty much all go kaput. I think I paid $35 for an installed replacement at Batteries+

There was a bit of ambiguity in the group ride convo this morning - one other guy and myself took the "100% of light rain" forecast to mean that we were a go, everybody else took it to mean that the ride was scrapped. We were wet after waiting around at the meet-up spot, anyway, so we decided that we might as well ride. It wasn't cats and dogs, but it was fairly heavy rain the whole 40+ miles. At times when we had to single-up and I was on his wheel, I felt like I was doing the breast stroke and I had to turn my head to breathe. Good ride, though - glad we HTFUd.
