Water also mixes with the ethanol in the fuel we use now and that helps it get through the fuel system and burn in the engine. But if it sits too long it turns into a yellowish, snotlike substance that is highly corrosive and plugs up everything.

Some gas stations here used to use what was referred to as an "expander" In their fuel storage tanks. It was mostly water and alcohol, and yes it was very illegal. You would hear about it as "bad" gas being sold. They goofed the math znd put too much "expander" in the tank.

I can just picture Bam sitting there in front of his bike, all tangled up in orange bar tape and a sad expression of defeat on his face as Mrs.Bam walks into the room. As Bam let's out a dramatic sigh of surrender, She springs into action." Her sons not going to be embarrassed by her husband's sloppy bar tape job as he comes into this world!! Not on her watch!! Wrapping those bars as she struggles through another contraction!! Scene fades to black as strains of God bless America build from the back ground.....

Rango seems thoroughly unperturbed by the rain. He asks to go out about as frequently as usual, and spends much the same amount of time outside, wandering around the yard, sniffing the air, listening for whatever. Dory, OTOH, simply refused to go out all morning till just a few minutes ago, when she finally went out for a lo-o-ong pee and immediately ran back in.

25 miles in and I'm ready for a nap. Forgot to grab cash and/or credit cards so I'm having drip coffee at SBUX (no cute hearts).

Cavendish the cat insisted on going out to drink the puddles in the yard. He tried but couldn't finish the biggest one. Mrs John went out when the rain stopped to feed the peacock. He was across the street but ran to greet her and did eat some bread. He doesn't have an official name but my neighbor calls him Knucklehead. I heard he frequents the next block and over there they named him Jeff.

I was thinking maybe some water collected around the fuel pump motor or impeller and froze and prevented it from spinning. If there was enough water to close off a 3/8 line the car would run really bad when that water made it to the injectors, if it would even start.
I have been wrong before, though.

Maybe. Since gasoline floats on water the water will go to the bottom and get sucked up during normal driving. I have had them come in running like crap and a fuel sample comes out milky but will separate if left to stand.
Had a guy who pissed off his girlfriend so she ran the garden hose in his gas tank. Towed in and I pulled the tank and dried it and flushed the lines and it cost him like $500. He came back a few days later and it was barely running. She did it a second time. I felt bad and gave him a discount and told him to buy a locking gas cap.
