What did you just buy for your gravel bike?

I just ordered a set of thru axles. And the Gravel Stumpy does not use thru axles.
The bicycle that they are for does not yet exist. Or, at least, it has yet to reach its distributor. But I'll give away the most important piece of information: the frame will be purple.

Man- that Stumpy is fantastic looking. Few 26er drop bar conversions look like they originally belong that way due to rider dimensions mucking up the look. Yours is an exception.

I don't have any plans to ditch the Stumpy.
Imagine getting up one day, deciding that you want your beverage to taste like Gatorade Arctic Blitz, and then not having a bike to color-match the drink. That would be awful!

If you live in goathead territory, tubeless would probably be mandatory.
Sidewall cuts are a potential problem on roads with big sharp rocks. I'd recommend against erring narrow on tire width.

So Vittoria loves to play "Guess the right tire size game". These aren't going on the bike for a bit as I just got Overrides back on, but I ordered 700x35c anticipating (per Amazon reviews) exactly this. Again.

I've only had one flat on gravel and that was a sidewall cut on a Gravel King SK. I hit a pile of large rocks during a race. Others were nearby putting in tubes and whatnot. I was lucky - spun the tire and it sealed, gave it a shot of Co2 and proceeded on. But yeah, it was 4" chunk.
BTW, I purchased from AMain as they had free shipping.

Reviews say they roll extremely well on pavement.
We'll test them on doublebraches and the GLCP road. Then you and I can do Big Frog Rd in the Cohutta. You can ride my RLT and I'll ride the MCR which you are about to buy.

Two sets of Fidlock bottles with their respective magnetic holders. It's awesome! Bottles are super easy to take off the bike and they easily snap back into place without much effort and they won't come off unless you want them to! Amazing tech and coming out of germany as well!
