High traffic area. Hope the stop is short or the lock a good one.
Nice old Schwinn, very shiny wheels.

Summer is gone and I was amused to see two other bikes in the same rack at work with plastic bags over the seats. I don't know what that blue one is. I need a nondescript one like that. The one in the middle is a Specialized Hard Rock. The red Schwinn Crosscut doesn't really count because it's mine.

Very cool. Even more so for me because I watched "Klunkerz" for the first time recently.

This well loved, lugged Stumpjumper was parked near me at the farmers market a few weeks ago, fat tires, upgraded drive train & cockpit, and an Enormous saddle bag!

Two Kuwaharas
That go to work where I do. Lovely bikes. Both are quad butted Ishiwata, a Cascade and a Caravan. I had a blue Caravan but I had to let it go because it was too big for me.

That Caravan is AWESOME. Great build, and those Kuwaharas are some of the sweetest bikes out there (though I am biased). If they were sold in the U.S. instead of just Canada, I'm sure they would be just as popular and coveted as a Miyata etc. My previous Shasta and current Cascade are probably my favorite bikes I've ever owned despite just being old mountain bikes.
Though it does look like the above Cascade has a bit different geo with a much steeper front end

With my Bruce Gordon
So I am riding along at the end of our group Saturday morning ride when a guy in front of me has a flat and I stop to help and this is what I saw. We later had coffee.

OK guys, I'll get us back on topic. Bikes at group rides and bike swaps aren't exactly 'in the the wild,' since they are purposely gathered together with collectors and enthusiasts in mind and are completely surrounded and carefully watched over by fawning fanboys. (My take, anyway).
How about an old, un-restored-but-customized fat tired cruiser (with canoe section sidecar) chained up at the local marina bike rack?

This was just a portion of what was chained up in the depot.
Grubby Grubb.
Spotted this Freddie Grubb in Manchester U.K. at the train depot, along with about 300 other bicycles of various breeds and pedigrees. The security at the depot was first concerned about making my way thru the corral of bicycles, but when I explained that I was a huge bicycle aficionado, and that we didn't have anything like this number of bicycles in my city (we don't have a train depot either), I think they got a chuckle out of my behavior. They still kept an eye on me of course. Manchester is a blue collar city (so I was told), and many people ride a bike to the depot to grab the train to work.

It appears to be Bristol (if I had read the signs visible in my own picture, I would have known that). To tell you the truth, the railway system and the depots were like "drinking from fire hydrant' aka, we had to learn how to navigate are way thru the system pretty fast. On our stay, I believe we stopped at the Bristol depot twice... both times to switch from one line to another. Does that sound logical? Is Bristol considered a blue collar city (aka, somewhere with lots of industry an manufacturing?) We did stay in Manchester too.

Bristol has HQs of banks, Aardman Animations, and all sorts of other things going on. Consistently voted the best city to live in in the UK, and a lot of cycling culture.
