Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A new set of lights to hit the road again. Haven't been riding for over half a year, so it's about time now.

I got Shimano 105 Front and rear ders to replace the RSX/Sora combination and 105 calipers to replace the RSX calipers I had. I am liking the change, definitely an improvement in shifting and braking.

As have I, but only MTB or 36 spoke old school wheels, and not for 20 miles. If one has the bike for the job, why not?

I bought this because my Stanley coffee thermos was trashing my bottle cages. The thermos keeps liquids hot for a long time, even when I'm riding around in freezing temperatures.

Well, I know it's not much, but....*morphs into the Monty Python French waiter scene*

My fenders arrived before the wet weather. And today I hit the 20% Sports Basement sale. The vents on the Bell Lumen are smaller than the Bell Alchera :-/ I'm not sure I'll keep the helmet. I don't understand why all the black helmets. Just what I want to wear in the hot sun.

I agree, helmet color actually makes a big enuough difference and yet nobody ever focuses on that. Grey also brings the sun, but the silverish ones tend to reflect the sun pretty well.

I got my right shifter cable that leads to the rear derailleur replaced, i guess over 5200+ miles was enough to break it. i am glad it wasnt a brake cable that broke while bombing down a hill.

Where did you buy this from? Have you tried it out yet? Please let me know how the image stabilization is. Nothing is GREAT but some are better than others. How much did you pay for it? Very interested.

Picked up a right 10-sp 105 shifter yesterday so I could convert my 9-sp and have both bikes be the same. CL purchase. Listed at $65, I offered $50 then he was late for the exchange and asked for $40.

Yup, still too much for me. I think I'll get the non carbon-wrapped version.

Thanks!
