2 bikes:
2001 Kona Caldera a mix of Deore/XT/XTR (I usually only add XTR as things break). Shimano 505 pedals and I ride with Specialized Body Geometry shoes (the comp ones)
2004 Colnago Rapid w/ full Veloce group Campagnolo Zonda Wheelset Colnago seat which isn't in the picture because it hastn't come in yet (pictures will be updated when it is) Look pedals (the entry level ones with just adjustable tension) Shimano R-150 shoes

Greetings-
I have a question! I am riding a 2002 Giant OCR-2 with a few upgrades, 105's front and rear, carbon seat post and carbon fork. It is a very nice bike. Since I bought it as a used bike for $350 in near perfect condition, I have put about $600.00 into it. A new bike like this would be well over what I spent, I think. I like the bike, it really is a beauty, but now I am thinking of something better down the road. Maybe a Lemond, a Merlin, a TREK Carbon, or something different.
So, here is my question: after riding this for a year or two, should I buy another bike, or should I buy a titanium frame or carbon frame or combination and use the components on this bike to build a new one?
I am curious about what experienced bikers think. Also, what is better steel, carbon, titanium, aluminum, or combinations? I guess that opens a whole new "kettle of fish."
Have a good ride!

Beachcruiser - only just got it, but am gonna kit it out for commuting. Only 6 gears so hills are going to be a serious workout. Love it. Anyone know any disadvantages to commuting on this style of bike?

I have a Specialized Hardrock and a Raleigh m60. I would normaly not considered a Raleigh however my daughter won it and owed me some money so I took the bike. It has been an awesome fit. I have taken it on two major touring trips. One down the oregon coast and another canada to calif. I hauled all my own gear and I have never had any problems with it.

I'm really, really new.... I just got a Trek 1000 roadbike... my first one... so far I really like it... I am female and have found that there are not a lot of roadbikes made for women unless you want to start right out spending over $1000.... is this sport dominated by men??? Just wondering thanks... so is my bike ok to start with???
