Just put on a new stem on Canyon. The spacers below the stem are "spinning" when I turn them, which means the stem is not flush with spacers, should I make sure the stem is flush with spacers and they don't spin?

Corvairs are cool, especially the later models with fully IRS instead of swing axles. The design is elegant and timeless.

not sure what that means, guessing I did not push the stem far enough down?

Spare time? I have nothing but time! Yeah, I enjoy watching some of that stuff. Some of the most interesting ones to me are the unusual stories. Like one I saw where they guy converted a 4x4 truck to a small diesel engine without spending a ton of money. He ended up with a work truck with good mileage. Of course, people on line ripped him for not building a fire breathing monster but I appreciated what he did and he got exactly the result he wanted.

I once owned a big, intimidating snake called Norman.

And if you already knew this, I apologize. Hard to know what people know.

I watched a video last night where someone had converted a 72 Cit just like Dad's to fully electric, including an electric pump for the hydraulic system. I think it had a range of about 150 miles, between the batteries they put under the hood and under the back seat (where the gas tank was), and they said there's still room to add more in the trunk (which is cavernous)

Wait - what was I thinking? $699 is still $700, plus shipping and tax takes it over $800. And that's just the frame! I'd have to be nuts!

Interesting psychological phenomenon, though, and I'm not sure whether it's just me or more general: I look at the $699 frame, and it seems more affordable than a $1200 bike.

Pilot shortage is across the board, UPS and Fed Ex I believe are in a better position because of the age of their pilots. They do not have a large amount retiring, but I could be wrong.

Considering your level of participation in these specific threads, I would say the possibility of being "nuts" is pretty high.

It'd be a hell of a deal!
There's a 59cm Arenberg for $1K nearby, with 9 speed Ultegra and a triple, plus Thomson seatpost and stem. But I hear the Arenberg was designed to be flexy. And I'm a big boy.
