Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Partly cover the mouthpiece (so they can still hear you) and shout "Hey, SHERM!!!"

Today I rode with the now usual Tuesday group. The e-bike riding couple was there, except she left the e at home and rode her Ruby. She wanted to see how she could do so the leader threw in some extra climbs. She has been turning off the power when possible so she thought she might do well on the analog bike. Really, she did fine, but she was a bit disappointed at the end.
We had headwinds for the last 18 or 20 miles but the temperature was nice. These little cool breaks from the heat are appreciated. Back to 100 in a few days.

lol. One of the main arteries across the valley is Roscoe Blvd. One day a guy rolls in and hangs out of his window and asks "Do you know where Roscoe is?" My boss looks at him and says "Nah, he don't work here no more". We all got a good laugh out of that one.

I HOPE that lowlife MF can't get no lovin'. My sister's always been frugal and good with money. He married her, spent her money, borrowed on her credit to start a business that went belly up and left her with a lot of debt. Took her some time to work out from under it, but she did.

Probably the second smartest of the 6 of us (no, I'm not 1st), but she's always attracted to the wrong men. Singlehandedly brought the 6 of us up to the national average (50%) for divorce.
