Holy Cow! No snow, no ice, no sleet, no freezing rain and daytime temps in the 30's and 40's! It's sunny like Key West or San Diego this Xmas weekend in Indiana.
Rode ten miles this morning and then late this afternoon got in a very nice twenty mile ride. Woo-hoo!
Merry Christmas!

No riding for me with a broken kneecap. But, got to limp around in a huge field with 5-6 dogs and 5-6 people. Got to watch Bailey run full blast and wrestle with some of the other dogs. That was awesome anyway. Good enough for me!

It was 36 when we started our club ride in north Phoenix today, but it was sunny and did warm up to 55 by noon. Enjoy it, JanMM.... I lived in Indiana long enough to know you will get weather like that at Christmas every now and then.

Every Winter day suitable for riding in IN is a gift to be savored.

71 very pleasant solo miles this morning - out to Bungedore and back to Canberra via the Federal Highway. The ride was mostly on country 2-lane roads, with the scenic Australian bush on every side. I need to take a camera on one of these rides. Temperatures got up to the mid 70s by the end of the ride, with a lot of sunshine and sparse clouds. About 4000' of climbing, but only a couple of tough hills. I did not feel like i had the legs to hammer, so I took the whole route at a fairly low avg. speed. In fact, I have trouble sustaining high average speeds on long solo rides - I just can't maintain the adrenaline. I tell myself I'm building my base. But whatever, I'm enjoying myself, even if I'm taking it a little slow.

Did an 80-mile variation on the "SkyMass" ride in VA, that bypassed the "Sky" (Skyline Drive).

https://connect.garmin.com/activity/136208384

Front Royal to Little Washington and Sperryville, then up and over the drive down to Luray. The big climb was up Massanutten Mountain (whoo boy, I'm out of shape for those 15% grades!), and then a nice cruise back down Fort Valley Rd. Mostly sunny, and the wind at my back when it counted. Sweet day indeed!

One day closer to spring . Looks like temps in the 40's as far out as the forecast goes, here in Illinois.

32 miles in mild 40F weather with sunny skies. A 20 mph headwind made for hard work and slow going but the return ride was fun & fast.

Just a few miles around the neighborhood today, Christmas Day, 2011. Our slightly-sensationalistic thermometer on the back deck read in the upper 20's. But the ride was on this, a new for-fun build this fall. The last item, the fluted seat post, went on this morning.

4th ride today on the new bike that just arrived last Tuesday. With every ride on each of my basket of "routes", I'm setting the fastest times ever. 46 miles a few days ago at exactly 20 mph average. A quick 16 miles today at 20.3 average.

It was cold though. The wind chill was down to 63F.

Another sunny, mild, but breezy, day in the land of the Hoosiers. A couple of miles riding around the neighborhood on the Screamer with wife/stoker, and then a Christmas early-afternoon ten mile ride on my own.

(repeat from other thread, sorry)

I didn't see annnnnny other riders on Christmas. I guess they must all have families or something

Did a little loop in the usual stomping grounds. Shame of shame, I actually had to walk part of Bear Wallow Road in Warrenton. I WILL conquer that hill when it gets warmer and I get thinner!

I learned today that if you're out of shape on a DF, you're out of shape on a bent. Kudos to the SIW for showing me the ropes on this chilly (30-43) ride.

Going down hills and passing everybody is fun. They all catch up at the next hill.

Very hot bike. I like my Giro ATT 26, too, but I didn't pull anywhere close to 20 MPH with the dumb hills out there.

I rode 24 mi today on my "standard" route on the Schuylkill River Trail near Valley Forge Natl. Park in Pa. Another real nice day for a ride, with sunny skies and moderate temps in the mid-forties. There was a stiff breeze out of the northwest which made for a tough home leg, though.

I took it outside today because it was about 40 (much warmer than I expected) and did 9 miles .It was a little cold and windy but definitely worth it. The bike is back inside now - for the trainer.

We got in 24 miles on the tandem today. Temperature 41degF when we started and 40degF when we finished. It was great!

Crossing the Sudbury River on Sherman Bridge (with a stop for lunch), my sweetie bundled up against the cold:

I've experienced that, too. Multiple times. Multiple rides. Once in a while I stay ahead of somebody.

I'd guess you found some serious hills down towards the Ohio.
