Rained out all weekend, so I started this week today with ZeCanon Intervals - 128 TSS. Undecided if I want to drive 1.5 hours to a make-up race tomorrow or just do a few hours at Z2/3.

I did a short ride on Zwift, did a sprint. Felt horrible. Nauseous now (I rode 8 hours ago). Fatigued. Ugh.
Back story: Went on a family outing to a fair Sunday. Junior was tired so I carried him a lot, much more than normal. He was also really cuddly and such so his head/face was close to mine. He was surprisingly not very hungry throughout the day. I, also, didn't eat for many hours, also surprisingly for me, just didn't feel hungry at all.
Monday Junior's tonsils were so swollen I couldn't believe it. Apparently at 3-4 years old your tonsils are proportionately as large as they get. Medical professionals rank the "swollenness" of your tonsils by ranking them 1-4. "He is a solid 3+. 4 is when they touch," according to his doctor, who we saw today.
On Zwift I'm convinced that it'll be possible to do a 12.99 second sprint. Today, even in my horrible feeling state, I did something in the mid 13s.
Group ride shot (I'm about halfway back from the front). Neutral rollout so I was okay at this point:
Did a 13.65 sprint after I got shelled. They did the first lap in 25 min, I did it in 41 min.

ugh, still battling this cold (surprisingly, doing a stage race didn't help it to go away) and gmsr fatigue (gmsr is the type of race where the 70 mile day with 6000ft of climbing is the "easy" stage). will likely be easy recovery spins today and tomorrow but I want to race cross on saturday so I need to get back on that bike at some point, hopefully thursday, for some woods riding and actually doing some dismounts before i jump into a race.

Found a small window to get in 20 miles at a moderate pace with some efforts here and there.

My best lap time is 39:49 and I was killing myself on the hills. Someone actually asked me if I was going for the orange jersey because I was drafting like mad. I was like, well, I'm just trying to be my prior lap which took me 51 minutes to finish.

I was in that pack. I did get the Orange Jersey for about three seconds until someone else in the same pack stole it. I think it was around 23:40 or something.

Did a set of 2x20' this morning on my regular out and back route. Because my rear training wheel is in the shop I left on my race wheels. When I uploaded to Strava: 8 PR's. I guess aero really does matter.

Probably Zwifting tonight, I had to order another ant+ dongle because I somehow misplaced my other one last week before we went out of town for the weekend. I'm sure it's in the house, but it's driving me insane that I can't find it, esp since I've been doing a lot more indoors as of late. I thought I might have been ready to do 260 for threshold stuff (at least for 2x20), but after an epic fail on my 2nd 20min yesterday (240w) I think I have to dial it back, though, I think my failure may have been partially due to indoor conditions, despite setting up in front of an AC and a fan, but mainly my overestimating what I could achieve at this point. My Mio Fuse HR monitor seems to collect temperature (at least in Golden Cheetah, a field called core temperature comes up when I use HR) and it said 38.1C (or 100.58F), not sure if that was my actual body temp or just skin temp or what.
Anyhow, I've never actually ridden with anyone on zwift, so if anyone wants to ride together PM me!

Took a second day off training. Just commute easy. I wonder how much I can reduce training for the final 3 race weekends.

Felt fatigued the last few days. Only made it through 12min of my first of two 20min intervals last night before I called it a night and rode back home.
I've also been having a hard time breathing. The pollen count as a 10 out of a possible 12 right now, per wunderground, so I'm guessing that might have something to do with it. Going to do 2hrs on the rollers, then back to the books.

general tso and I haven't been friends for 12 years after he infected me with a weekend of hurling. the irony was that it came from an eatery inside johns hopkins hospital.
an hour-ish on zwift with 3x15 sweet spot in a hot basement
