Riding season is almost here and here is a great bike.
You are looking at a 1986 vintage Schwinn Voyageur touring/roadbike
This is not some yardsale purchase that someone has pumped up the tires on.
I rebuilt this bike in the fall and it is in extremely good condition.
This is a tall bike. 25” frame with about 34” standover height.
So, I would say you should be a long legged 5’-11 to 6’- 4” to fit you.
I’m 6’-1” and fits me very well.
18 speeds and rides like a Cadillac.
New items that were installed include:
New cables and cable housings
New bottom bracket / crank bearings
New handlebar tape
New brake levers boots
New chain
New tires
New tubes
New Koolstop brake
Front wheel has new bearings
Rear wheel was rebuilt with a complete new hub
Less than 200 miles on this rebuild. There is nothing wrong with it.
I just need to thin the bicycle herd.
It can be yours for a very reasonable 165.00

1985 Peugeot touring bike 59cm - $220 (Raleigh)1985 Peugeot PX80 touring bike with triple crank, cantilever brakes, and blackburn rear rack. New tires, cables, chain, brake pads, handlebar tape, bearings & grease. Both the seat tube and top tube measure 59cm center-to-center. I am 6’0” with a 34” inseam and it fits me well with the seatpost and handlebar stem positioned as shown in the photos. Refurbished it for myself but just haven’t been using it. Your choice of pedals: Either the Shimano spd pedals on the bike, or period-correct SR platform pedals.

Vintage Hugo Reickert Olympic Bike - $950 (Holly Springs)
For sale is what I was told is a 1972 Hugo Rickert race bike. I was told that this bike was an official competition bike for the German Olympic racing team. The gentleman who had it had dimentia therefore the details were sketchy and possibly untrue. It was very rough when I acquired it. A second set of race wheels came with the bike and are available for an additional fee if interested. The frame had a green and white corrosion on it and there are subsequent imperfections in the finish of the chrome and aluminum alloy components. It has been cleaned and new decals were applied. I tried to save the originality but the tires, cables, brake hoods and bar tape were unsalvagable. The Unicanter leather saddle is rough but minus rips or tears. The water bottle is as it came with the bike but it is dry cracked. The sew up tires are new old stock but are not perfect matches. They have not been glued to the rims. All of the other components are original and include: Cinelli bar and stem, Campy brakes and brake levers, Campy Nuovo Record derailleurs and shifters, the crank, pedals, headset, bottom bracket, hubs and seatpost are all Campy. The rims are Super Champion tubular. The freewheel is a Regina Extra 5 speed. All of the aluminum alloy parts have been cleaned and would benefit from a thorough polishing. Everything on the bike is in good working condition. The entire bike was dismantled, cleaned, regreased, reassembled and adjusted. The brake pads are a bit dry and should be replaced prior to serious riding. The seat tube measures 62 cm ctc. The top tube measures 59cm ctc .
