Yes. Much ado about nothing, with the emphasis on the much ado, not the nothing.

I now have a binder bolt in reserve, and a couple of spare buttons. Cinelli dealers can get them for you at a fraction of the eBay price, if you ever need them again.

No one cares
i can't see any benefit to removing them aside from the perceived internet coolness factor which at times can be very powerful. I do see cons. Therefor I'd have to keep them, were it mine.

UPDATE:
I've been really attacking the last vestiges of any paint or primer or grease or rust on the frame. What I've found....
a-The same primer and paint were on both the eyelets and the frame. The primer is black, and the paint was red. So, it appears the bike was either painted or repainted after the eyelets were installed.
b-Very little brazing material, and pretty uniform. The more I clean the area, the more it looks like a very experienced job on the eyelets.
c-I'm getting through to the actual metal on the eyelets, the shiny metal. I'm almost wondering now if they were put on when the frame was ordered, and it was painted once that was done.
Any ideas?

Very tempting.
Figure a precise powder coat is $100, done the way I want.
Figure a precise paint job is $350, done the way I want.
Another $250 for chrome, never have to worry again, spread out over the next 15 years I live and ride....

Chrome $400
Chr. masking $280
1 color (blue) $350
Decals $65
Application $40
Bottle bosses $30(I wanted a second set)
PS - Hope you live and ride more than 15 years
