What Feature would you like to see implemented on Strava to start paying for it?

1. Fix the route builder bugs involving weird issues defaulting to sidewalks and trails versus roads. For some reason with ridewithgps I don't have nearly the issues as with Strava route builder.
2. Implement custom group defined segments. I know you can do private segments for yourself, it would be nice for bike clubs or teams to have their own not littered by other's garbage.
3. Implement global group versus individual effort leaderboards. Pretty plain here. It's not data worth comparing whatsoever if it's both groups and solo.
4. Fix Segment Explorer. Almost useless. There's so many segments and the viewing window limits it. Instead, include in the list ALL segments currently in the view window and allow a checkbox for ones you want to see on the map.
5. Improved club/team/group page functionality. 90% of the ones I've been on aren't used as the feature is pretty crap.

this search function is terrible
I would like that all segments are loops or back and forth averages to compensate for wind.
these days all the KOMs were made with a tailwind
there should be a difference classification between group ride and Solo time trial efforts

FWIW, the route planner seems to be improved. I remember using it before and being underwhelmed, but I think that it works at least as well, if not better, than Rw/GPS, now. Well, with one exception - with a Wahoo, at least, the routes in Strava will not give you TBT like they will when made in Rw/GPS. It'd be nice if they'd get on that.

I don't think that's practical. I mean, sure, they already have the "proximity" thing on Flyby, but that doesn't work most of the time, so I doubt that they could get it to reliably work well enough to determine solo vs group efforts. Beyond that, there are still a lot of folks that don't upload to Strava - it's not that unusual for me to go out on a group ride and not have anyone else upload.

It's not even close to "the rest of the world". ISO 8601 says the week begins on Monday. Much of Europe and Asia also use Monday. The Middle East uses Saturday. Kinda like bottom bracket "standards"...

It would be nice if they fixed the Starred Segment view. Sort by date added, elevation gain, distance, etc....
Create groups around these segments. I have some that I train on, some that I want to do soon, and others that are on my bucket list (Alpe d’Huez)
Currently there is no organization at all, just one big mess of segments.
They made such a big deal of only show full leaderboards to subscribers, but those leaderboards are a mess. You cannot page through them easily.
Would love for them to add to the more options to the developer API, specifically around getting your gear.

Eh, not really. If you're fast enough, you're fast enough. We have dozens and dozens of segments around here in which the KOM is held by an individual and the rest of the top 5/10 is a group. Just have to be faster.

That makes zero sense.

So go make some out & back segments. They'll probably fly under the radar/no one will care about them and you might get to be the KOM for a bit.

There’s one on the route we rode way up north thats an out and back with different start at stop points. Named the “Mr Gorbechav tear down this wall Ronald Reagan 40k TT”. Because of course it is, on what is sometimes called Ronald Reagan highway. Most people stop at the gas station at the turnaround, so not hard to climb the rankings.

Yesterday there was a 50 to 70kph wind.
on the way back, everyone I follow on strava almost made KOMs for the flat segments with tailwinds.
windy days must be gold for segment hunters. KOS

Alternate question - what features might Strava take AWAY that would make you start paying for it to get them back?
If I were advising them financially, I would seriously advise Strava to not keep more than a year's worth of data or something. Maybe keep KOMs but not 8 years worth of rides. Also, only Summit members could post photos and create new segments. They're giving away way too much.
Back to the original question - I'd like to be able to download segment results so I can do my own charts and tables - because I've got 8 years worth of results on the same segments... or at least I used to until they took them away.
I'll probably bite the bullet pretty soon... smart move Strava.

its a back and forth TT, which relies less on the wind factor
and the guy who was the KOM did it beat the North only segment which a guy did with a tail wind
everybody is more impressed by the in & out KOM segment than only the in. You might not understand the wind factor if you only hide behind in a group ride and never TT solo.
