When I was younger and faster, I buy the fashionable Oakleys but they'd invariably slide down my nose and I'd spend the whole ride looking over them.
I'm all-in on the oversized look and will likely wear them long past their fashion expiration date

I used to wear those. The last pair I had was left on top of my car and probably ended up in the middle of the street.
I used Oakley M frames for years after that until my eyes started needing prescription glasses. M frames kept the wind out of my eyes better than anything else I tried.
In my BF avatar I am wearing 3 pair of reading glasses stacked up to read a map at night.

Hopefully, this is not the next fashion trend in the pipeline. Might be super aero, though.

With a mighty wind
I read the word “ sunglasses” but my mind kept substituting “condoms” in there.

Super-duper Genius
I think the Oakley Sutra and similar models from Smith, Rudy Project, and others are kinda cool. Some of my friends rock them. I considered getting a pair. Then I thought about where that will put me in a few years...
My favorite glasses for cycling are a pair of Oakley M2 that I got at a pretty good discount about seven years ago. They're red and white, the colors that ruled about a decade ago. Ten to fifteen years ago, glasses like mine were what all the cool kids wore. Now they look really dated. I don't care; they perform well, and if I want to look the part according to current fads, I'll have to replace a lot more than my glasses, starting with my bike. I'm sticking with them until they wear out, which might be the rest of my life.
...If I buy some new glasses that match the current trend, I'll look up to date for a little while, then will fall behind again. With my old ones, it might not be long before the style comes back around again, as these things tend to be cyclical (no pun intended).
I remember several trends in sunglasses over the past 50 years, in my geographic area, at least. In the early 1980s, everyone wanted a pair Vuarnet glacier glasses, with leather side shields and cable temples. By the early 90s, it was Oakley Frogskins. (I had a pair of these. I now own an Oakley Manorburn, which is similar.) The next decade or so, I'm not sure. Lots of kids like Wayfarer, Aviator, and Clubman styles, although these are pretty timeless; they've never gone out of fashion. Lately, teens trying to get noticed are wearing Pit Vipers, which are similar to the current generation of cycling glasses... but the most important feature is the brand inscription on the lenses; they have to say "Pit Viper."

Are these even any bigger than the Bolle Edge wraparounds I wore back in the 90s?

I haven't tried the new giant sunglasses yet, but I was considering it because I need some new cycling glasses. I don't really like the way they look, but if they are super functional, then I would get them anyway. My main question/concern is that they don't look like they would allow enough airflow to prevent fogging, and might not allow for as much body cooling. Am I over-thinking this? I will almost surely get Oakley Prizm (I had those in some other glasses) or Smith Chromapop (I have them in my ski goggles) lenses. They make a big difference. My current cycling glasses are some cheaper Native Eyewear partial frameless, but they are cracked and the optics just aren't quite as good. Would love some feedback.
I used to wear Oakley Flak glasses for riding (no bottom frames). Very easy to swap lenses and the lenses are small to carry around. But they do have a big top edge to the frame.
I used to want those Oakley Racing Jackets that Big George used to rock back in the day (before all the faff):

As for fashion, it comes and goes and I don’t get hung up on it, especially if it’s functional. Non-functional, I tend to have an issue with.
My AliExpress $15 photochormatic with lens inserts.

I've only seen rural kids - like, the kind that would wear cowboy boots unironically - wearing them. City kids, not so much.

Saran wrap is light, has the potential for widest FOV under the most extreme positions, cheap, & can be used to rewrap the unwrapped carb bar so you can unravel it using one hand & your teeth.
