Went skiing yesterday, had a blast. Now it's snowing in town and I'm working from home.

I went out in the wind on Saturday, and did hill repeats into the wind in the uphill direction.(that sucked). it was like i doubled the grade. but it was a good workout. on sunday i did some intervals on the (dumb) trainer. was still worn out from Saturday!

How do you guys deal with outrageous home prices, sky high cost of living, immense droughts, wild fires that destroy so much, earth quakes that foretell of the impending apocalypse, mud slides, overpopulation and pollution?
Here we just put a jacket on or ride a trainer indoors.

things would be just fine w/o four of the items you mentioned if so many people from...well...elsewhere hadn't visited and fancied their chances at a go.
most of the locals (altho there are a holdout few that invariably bellyache) are down with the annual biblical (and other comparable texts) irwin allen disaster escapades.

Sunday is my ride day and I have not missed many at all. This last Sunday was a real bummer! It was pouring in Ventura ,California with no sign of letting up. I will ride if it is just a light passing rain cloud , with a baggie over the saddle, but I'm not into getting soaked. I am looking at the forecast (Thank you Elvo!) and it may break for Sunday...fingers crossed. I don't have fenders on any of my bikes. Joe

I finally road today! It was a chilly 45 degrees in the morning, so I bundled up in my cold weather gear (knee warmers, base layer, heavy jersey, long fingered gloves, toe covers and ear wrap). It did stop raining for a bit on Sunday, but I like to do long rides, so I made a brunch date with a hot blonde instead. ![Smilie](images/smilies/smile.gif)

Sitting at my desk now in the shop and can't feel my toes as they've frozen. Dropping from 40 degree high to 3 as the trainer class is going on.

I was in Fargo, ND, on Wednesday. -20F and a winter storm warning but there were still people commuting by bicycle.
Long sleeve jersey, warm socks, give it hell. You might shiver for the first few minutes until you get warmed up.
