COLNAGO Tecnos 58cm Road Bike Frame Fork + Headset - $700 (Brookline)

Date: 2010-12-12, 11:22AM EST
Reply to: sale-kurp6-2108772154@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Selling my Colnago Tecnos frame. Sale includes Colnago Tecnos frame, Colnago engraved fork, headset (In excellent working condition). Colnago engraved fork crown, lugs, seat stays, dropouts, and bottom bracket shell. Frame is made of oversized Columbus steel tubing, crimped, same as Colnago Master. Makes for a very stiff and responsive, but supple feeling ride. I have a good amount of experience with steel tubing (Columbus, Reynolds, Tange, Ishiwata), this tubeset could be some of the nicest I have ridden. Size is 58cm. Downtube has guides installed for ergo shifters/brifters.

Frame and fork are in very good condition. Paint Job is fantastic (Purple and magenta with silver and fluorescent green painted decals... Colnago definitely has some of the coolest paintjobs). Please see photos. Everything is straight. Some paint chips, no rust, dents or deep scratches. Frame and fork are fully chromed (Some oxidization under fork crown, not visible when brake is mounted, removable with light sanding).

In case you are wondering, yes this frame could be converted to fixed gear or single speed. However, it really deserves to be built up correctly with period specific Campagnolo or Dura Ace (I built it up with a mixed DA 7400 group because I already had a couple Campagnolo equipped bikes... and the meeting of Italian and Japanese craftsmanships makes for an interesting result.) It has only been very lightly used by me, taken on a couple medium distance summer weather rides (less than 200 miles, no rain or excess moisture) Stored inside. LISTING IS FOR FRAME, FORK, AND HEADSET. call or text 617 285 9317. Thank you!

I'd be very interested in seeing pics if someone goes to look at this. If the pump is original, I'd also be interested in buying just that.

Rossin - 23”/58.5cm professional racing frame, Vintage Mid 80’s - $180 (Seattle/Shoreline)

Date: 2010-12-12, 11:06AM PST

Rossin - 23”/58.5cm professional racing frame, Vintage Mid 80’s

$180 or nearest offer. Local Pickup only at that price.

If you want the bike shipped, the price is $225 through PayPal plus actual shipping charges to your destination.

This is a functionally excellent frame in original paint. There is a spot where it looks like the chain derailed and left some metal scratches in the chain stay 3’’ behind the bottom bracket, but this is not structural and otherwise the only defects are paint wear and scratching. This was their standard issue top of the line frame at the time with Campy dropouts and whatever first line tubing they were using at that time.

It is a very pretty frame with Rossin embossed seat stay ends, an R cutout in the back of the head lug. and fairly fancy lugs for an Italian frame. The color, a dark orange/copper/brown metallic, is depicted fairly accurately in the photo

I purchased the frame used ten years ago and meant to build it to ride but have always had other projects in front of it so I’ve decided to sell it on.

The key dimensions are:

Seat tube 23”/58.5cm center to top

Top tube 22”/56cm center to center

Wheelbase approx. 39 inches

Rear wheel spacing 127mm

It comes complete with a Specialized alloy cup/steel nutted headset that runs smooth and a Gipiemme seat binder bolt.

I will be at work today (Sunday) for most of the day and have the frame with me. Contact me by email if you are interested and I can show the frame. Sorry, No holds - first person with the full cash price locally takes it home or I am willing to sell and ship the bike at the higher PayPal price with a PayPal confirmation of sale.

1984 Cannondale 23" road frame - $10 (Arlington)

Date: 2010-12-12, 1:17PM EST
Reply to: sale-bx3e9-2108959879@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a 23" Cannondale frame from 1984, their first year in production. The frame is in good condition, always stored inside. You'll need brakes, pedals, and cables, and possibly tubes. This is a project, but this frame has a real comfortable ride. I took it to Ireland and Czechoslovakia, and commuted it with it for years.

If this were local, I would be on my way.

Question for the Fuji experts: Is this possibly a series V? I looked through the Fuji catalogs and didn't see that blue/green color listed for any of the series IV. I cant see in the photos if it has braze ons on the fork.

weird...how badly do you really need a pump peg? I've got a soft spot for the over-the-top Colnagos - especially now that I have one (not-so-vintage, alas) in my own stable now...
