Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Kinda seems like a parts-bin build.

I think I would've put some nice tan-walls on there

If I keep taking a minute of the 40k TT every year, by the time I'm 70, I'll be a fast mutha. The guys I race with are fast, and all I have are PR's to shoot for, but that's OK. 57:50 for 40k is my time, and I'm pretty OK with that.

Funny thing - at least twice I've made bikes more stable by shifting weight forward. First bike fit I had was after I'd gotten the Ritchey, and the 5 minute 'bike store fit', and ridden it a couple hundred miles with no problems, then I experienced wobble at 40 mph on a downhill. The fitter raised my saddle 1 cm, moved it forward 1 cm, and dropped my bars 1 cm. After that the bike felt much more 'planted'. It wasn't bad before, but after it was so much better. I hadn't realized how good it COULD be.

That bites. And yes, the feeling of someone taking a ball bat repeatedly to your kidney area, isn't as fun.

Surgery was fine. Couldn’t leave after until I peed. Couldn’t pee. Doctor ordered the catheter reinserted. Wife watched, and said I came close to murdering the nurse who did it. Went home with it for a week.

Easy and short ride today in anticipation of tomorrow’s French Creek Iron Tour century.

I ended up doing a nice ride with a small group, most of the regulars drove out of town for a coastal ride. One of the guys had put on some quarantine weight and was dropping off on hills.
We stopped to wait for him on a quiet street lined with multi-million dollar homes when a car pulled onto the street from a busy road, stopped in the middle of the street so cars had to drive around him going either way. Then the driver get out and starts peeing in the street. I had circled back a bit to look for our friend and when I came back up I said "WTF is that guy doing?" One of the ladies says "he's peeing". Oh damn. One of the other people in the car climbed into the driver seat, maybe deciding pee-guy was too drunk to drive. We got out of there before they started moving again.

Not that I post there, but is that cesspool known as Trollheim shut down? Last post was about 3 weeks ago.

Having anything threaded up there is most unpleasant. Not a fun job either.
