I was descending on 84, which is a nice, not too technical but still twisty descent. I caught up to a car, and stayed behind them the whole way down. Right at the bottom the car suddenly whips over onto a turnout, the passenger door flies open and the passenger leans out and barfs.

This is the place in Bowling Green, OH, where we spent two night back in '99. Camping at its worst.

For us, it was "Night At The Zoo", which was all good fun, till we tried to sleep, with various roars and hoots and the goddam peacocks "HooWAH, hooWAH"-ing all goddam night.

I think it's historically been the case that albums only had one to three good songs. But as far as music industry evolution goes, I think the biggest shift happened around 2000 when .mp3 players became a thing.

Shave report - (Velo Vol)
Face and head, single pass each, WTG, obv.
Pre-shave: none - I'm out
Shaving cream: Proraso Red (sandalwood - still on the winter scent)
Brush: synthetic badger hair (reduced badger suffering footprint, still great results)
Razor: RazorRock GameChanger .68P
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue. Wonderful blades - definitely among my favorites. 5th full shave with this particular blade - still smooth and sharp with no signs of slowing down.
Aftershave: Proraso Red
Alum Block: N/A - no nicks or weepers

As for youtubes, the best ones are usually recordings of records. I think you'll love this one. Low quality pressing from a tiny indy label, recorded with no filters/EQ/nothin, just record to the computer and straight up to the youtube.

There are many albums I just can't stand to NOT listen to the whole thing at one sitting.

Kinda reminded me of driving US 666 up in northern AZ back in the day, driving across the desert listening to the Native American station. The AZ experience was a little more intense though; they had very few DJ interruptions, and the practically non-stop pow-wow tunes would put you in a trance as you stared out at the 2-lane blacktop stretching out before you.

Here is another straight from vinyl, complete with pops.

I used to post a TON of songs on youtube, but many got taken down. Then I found if I omitted the artist's name, most of them wouldn't get yanked.
I think I may have been drinking when I did this one. Sounds like I dropped the needle with my bare hands instead of using the lever.

So, yeah, hard to believe that 1890s technology is inferior, but it is.
Large, awkwardly-shaped media that gets scratched up or warps
Player with delicate parts that break
If you want to play just one song you have to load up giant disc, and pinpoint the spot on the record to put the needle, which will probably take several tries. Repeat process if you want to listen again
Meanwhile, with digital you just plop in the disc, if one is even needed, push a couple buttons and you're listening to crisp, superior sound, and can FF, Rewind, Repeat as your heart desires with a push of the button.
