Never heard of Little Dragon before but I like this a lot. Their wiki page informed me of why it sounds like Gorillaz.

Junior Wells. Hoodoo Man Blues. Music of my youth. Pure poetry through a harmonica. Bliss.

A little art of noise..

Some romeo void..

And some sex..

I had forgotten how awesome "The Passenger" is. Really great tune.

It is an Iggy kind of evening.

I told my 15 year old that The Stooges were current music when i was his age.

I've been checking out Band of Horses lately: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnMZQmNtPKE

Total chick music, but i've always been a sucker for simple pretty-sounding melodies.

Sorry, I should've put it in context. I bought his cd in 2002 or so and liked it for a few days.

I was more of a fan of Company Flow and all that, even got to see El-P live in NYC a few years ago! It was a good show.

El-P is awesome. I really like some of the associated artists such as blockhead.

Then the entire rhymesayers gang is awesome: aesop, atmosphere, brother ali, etc etc.

Fwiw, I moved to the US in 2000...

In the Aeroplane over the sea is their hallmark album. It's not similar to band of horses, but I like it!
