I'd say closer to CX or touring than road or MTB.

While on the randonee subject, check out this MTB approach I saw on CL today. I'd guess 1991-1993 somewhere around there. Anyone ever seen one of these?

Mtn bicycle 16 inch fr. Deore, cheap, check out pictures - $80 (Beaverton)

Has Deore components, araya wheels, specialized tires 95% tread. Front derailleur needs adjusting. Rides good, lots of scratches but reliable. Good Deal. Could use a wash.

Ishiwata triple butted touring bike. A bike used by the bike touring company Backroads. Looks very similar to a Miyata 1000. Has all proper touring braze-ons. 3 bottle holders, front low rider, rear rack. For $225, a very good price. Hard to find deals like this for a legit touring bike in the overpriced Bay Area.

Doesn't list size, but it looks like a 53cm-55cm bike.

I've already been in correspondence hah. I'd want to spread the rear to 130 so it's a no-go, plus those have a Specialized admitted lifetime of 10 years.

Short head tube though, must have a long top tube.

Ooh, delicious.

My family got my brother a NOS triple triangle GT mtb with discs built up with some great parts for his last b-day. Thing is a ripper. Way better than my stock trek 4300. I love those triple triangles.
