Possibly of Interest to Miyata, Raliegh Owners
I poked around further at the same source as my previous post above, and found these also. If you're looking for a pantographed crankset for a Miyata or Raliegh, these might be of interest.
They're both currently at auction on eBay; both auctions close Monday (March 11, 2024) afternoon. As of a few min ago, no bids on either.
1. MIYATA Double Crankset 165mm 52/40 Touring Bike Crank JIS 9/16" SR Japan
URL: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256434692169
2. Vintage Raleigh SR Double Crankset 165mm Pantograph 50/40t w/Bolt Covers
URL: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256434697749
From the photos, both look to be in fairly good shape. But they're photos, so caveat emptor applies. Price and S/H also seem reasonable for a vintage crankset.
Same source also has multiple other Raliegh-pantographed components - derailleurs, chain guards, brake calipers, etc . . . - including a 165mm Raleigh Heron 46T Cottered DS crank (no NDS crank arm for this one, unfortunately).
Don't really know how rare any of these are, but I have the impression that with the possible exception of Raleigh (and maybe Schwinn) pantographed vintage components are not all that common.
Disclaimer: same as before; I have done business both with eBay and the vendor, but I have zero financial interest in either. Vendor seems to be a legit 501(c)3 non-profit.
PS: thanks to whomever moved my original post above to this thread, thus correcting my original "brain cramp" in posting it as a separate thread.

DO NOT ask...
is it still available?
is the price negotiable?
what's your best price?
what's your lowest price?
can you deliver?
NO trades and I don't care about your budget

If he can't give a ballpark, he can't dictate terms, any prospective buyers are going to have questions that are probably going to be "funny" to him.
He seems to think 753 = gold mine and he may be right but not likely to get it with that ad copy, again IMO.

Huh, well without an asking price and listing the supposed purchase price, this clown is talking out his backside IMO.

Yep, I looked at that and thought it was pretty cool. Yet with the appearance of the bar tape, overall good condition, and then comments about low miles I see a steel bike that will probably need a full teardown to refurbish all the bearings and such. Then with today's current state of the used market I just can't see it worth all that much. And I'm saying that as a guy usually happy to overpay for one I want. His ad just puts you off even attempting to communicate.
maybe this one, maybe not.
