DeFeet merino wool base layer. Feels just like silk. Base layer, short sleeve jersey, wind vest and arm warmers - good to at least 40 degF

Decided to change up the gearing this week due to moving to a flatter area.
Picked up a Dura Ace 7900 53/39 crank to replace the 105 compact.
Also got 2 ultegra 12-25 cassettes and 2 KMC chains at a killer price to replace 105 stuff.
Can't wait to try it out! Should drop some weight off the bike and shifting should be silky smooth.

Cancelled my dura ace 9070 order. Went with a full SRAM Red 2012 setup. Brakes, shifters, deraillieurs. Already had the crank and cassette.
On order, Reynolds Aero 58/72 combo wheelset.

Good decision. Great ideas all around. I love the deeper rear wheel idea. I've been wanting an 808 rear for some time now.

Parts are starting to roll in! Received the frame, tape, bars, and saddle so far. Stem should be in by the end of the week, seatpost not far from then. Still waiting on wheels (but they've been pre-ordered).
All that will be left will be the Dura Ace 9000 group, assorted bling, and new bottle cages, but now I have to get off my arse and sell the old bike to pay for the rest!

It's nothing fancy, but to keep me motivated on a rainy day I needed to spend some time tinkering with my bike. I picked up some new cork handlebar grip and gave the installation a try. It wasn't too hard to install and the satisfaction for $8 is great!

My new frame came today too.
According to the oh-so-accurate bathroom scale method, it weighs 3.6 pounds with frame, fork, headset, seatpost clamp and bottle cage bolts. I could probably get it below 3 by removing all the decals.
I'm still trying to decide what groupset to go with. Most likely it will be Ultegra. I tried to talk myself into Campy, but I didn't have the budget for anything more than Centaur and all my other bikes are Shimano.
