Speaking of Tucson, on my recent trip I was planning on visiting Patagonia to do some birding. But after driving hundreds of miles through the boring Utah desert on my way to Phoenix, I was in no mood for driving through another hundred+ miles of desert.
Next time. It's on the bucket list.
Also on the list is another trip to Arches National Park in Moab. My son and I were on a tight schedule trying to get to Phoenix on the evening before Thanksgiving, so we didn't have enough time to actually see any of the majestic arches that are situated further into the park. But these awesome formations are good enough for now.

Started out trying to true up my 46mm Reynolds wheels yesterday. Today I'm ordering all new spokes for the rear wheel. I had to order what I think are unbranded spokes. Good reviews. Wheelsmith and DTSwiss have lost thier minds. Fugetaboutit! 4 bux a spoke? Nope. And trying to buy them from Amazon ?...Thats a shiz show.

RE: Swift. I got nothing against her. She's not my style so much, very rarely seek her out, but I'll find my head bobbing to some of her hits when they're on the radio, or wherever I am. As Homer said to the judge during the custody hearing in the classic Season 6 episode "home sweet homediddly-dum-doodily": I got nothin' against Maggie.

You wouldn't want a table like that in earthquake country.

When I say our story is a long and tedious one, this is what I mean.

Tom Morello and Adam Jones (Tool) were childhood friends
and apparently both were initially bad (terrible) guitarists ? … (and now both are among top of their style / type)

Get some nice 3/4" plywood. You'll never break that! You can paint it any color you want.

Latest build was with some old Araya rims and late '70s Shimano high flange hubs and 15/16g spokes. Rims are pretty soft and have a noticeable bulge at the seam so I'll probably relace them with some Sun M13 soon-ish.
