To be sure, I am not complaining! The hubs on those wheels spin very smoothly. The spokes are dingy at best and rusted at worst. I'll see what happens with some elbow grease but I may need to tear them down. If I can use them as-is, they'll almost certainly go on the guest PX10. If I rebuild they may go on another bike, or not. Options abound.

@ascherer, I've heard good things about the Gravel King tires. Also, those Shimano brake levers are very good and durable.

You can't always make a good guess about how a tire will ride before you try it. Many years ago, I bought a pair of Vittoria Hypers. I was really disappointed when they arrived because the tread was thick and heavy. They ride like a much lighter tire, and they had the lowest rolling resistance of any bike tire tested up to that date. And they're heavy! They're still going well on my Super Course, years later. So those Gravel King Slicks might be very nice, too.

While not a bike part my latest thing is bike related. I got a Total Gym machine to augment my indoor bike for winter fitness and more so rehabbing the knees. I've been using one on and off for the past couple of years in PT so I broke down and got myself one. With both knees now replaced I really want to get the legs built back up and strong this winter so I can have a great year riding next year.

A new pair of cheapo 650B wheels. I don't believe for one minute that they'll make my life better, but for less than a hundred bucks shipped for the set I can at least say I tried.

@repechage - The only real issue with both of them is the "interference" fit between the arms as can be seen in this pic.

After disassembly of one set, there appears to be a slight bend on the forward arm. The washer between them is really thin. I am debating weather to try to provide clearance by bending or thicker washer or live with it.
The other surprise is the strength of the springs. I used a bench vice to compress the spring for disassembly.

The wheelset was €55, the shipping (from France) a fiver. For €60 I will not be complaining about the fact that the bearings are not properly greased and adjusted. And since I'll be taking those apart anyway, I plan to look into the possibility of replacing the axles by hollow items, so I can use QR's.

Not in the mail but a summons to see Dawn at Pro Kote Indy to pick up the Old Nago. A couple of hour ride but success. It is now back in house...

‘the arms should rotate without interference. This IS Campagnolo. Take the caliper apart, copper jaws in the bench vise, hold the arm by the pivot washer region and show it who is boss.
‘the springs ARE stiff. They can be ‘detensioned”

A VAR tool tool that is a second one in my stash. I put up for offer to loan out it in the loaner tool thread for those who need a pin spanner for headset and BB adjustments.
The pin spanner showed up without the pins! But...

Pair of 600 Tricolor dual-pivot brakes, fished out of "the Bay" on an offer, $20 shipped.
From 1990. Not an exact match for what would have been original on my recently-acquired '88 Centurion Ironman Carbon, but it's at least the right brand/model and color, matches the rest of the gruppo. I swapped the worn-out and mismatched rear pads with a pair of fresh (and matching) pads, along with the cosmetic cap on the front adjuster. Definitely looks more at home on the bike than the late-'90s Ultegras I originally built it with:
