-*- Vintage Fuji, Road Bike, 54 cm - $150 (nob hill)

Date: 2011-02-19, 1:54PM PST
Reply to: sale-rxfpn-2223659616@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Vintage Dark Blue Fuji Royale Road Bicycle

- Size 54 cm
- Fits 5'8" and up
- 12 speed
- Rare vintage classic similar to miyata, schwinn, bianchi, peugeot, or nishiki.
- Japanese made

- This bike was a neglected project. I was hoping to restore and clean this up but just don't have the time. With some TLC this bike could be a great city ride or commuter. My loss is your gain. Tires are flat and the bike needs some cleaning. It could also use new bar tape. Good condition for its age and has all original parts. Come give this bike a new home.

Stronglight Crankset Install/Removal Toolset Complete!

Item #200578483805

If you own a bike equipped with a classic Stronglight crankset, you know how difficult and expensive it can be to find the correct puller set to use. Here it is! A look at the photos will tell you that in spite of its age, it’s still in great shape. Be sure to use only the correct tools to avoid destroying the threads on your classic French crankset!

Manufacturer: Stronglight

1990 Centurion Momentum (Diamondback) - - $145 (Lowell)

Date: 2011-02-19, 9:43AM EST
Reply to: sale-eqx72-2222826972@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

1990 Centurion Momentum (Diamondback), 14 speed, 22" frame. I received this bike partially disassembled, and added the following parts to make it road worthy totaling close to $90:

Front disc fork
Front wheel and tire
Front and rear tubes
Foam handlebar grips

There is some damage to the stickers on the top tube and down tube from the bike being leaned on hard surfaces. Paint overall is in good condition (a few dings here and there), there was some rust around the edges of the bottom bracket lugs. Chain has been soaked, cleaned, and lubed. The entire bike has been scrubbed and polished to its present state. Shifting and ride are super smooth, and if the bike wasn't so tall I'd actually keep it for myself, but at 5'8" its not exactly a good fit.

Bike has Rear Brake Only! I didn't have a caliper on hand that fit with this fork. Caliper needs brake pads to be 2 3/4"-3" below the center of the caliper mounting bolt.

For an older model this bike is very light (25lbs), and will make an excellent road bike, commuter, or fixie. A new paint job, or detailing of the frame lugs would really make the lugged frame stand out. The addition of a newer/modern rear tire and wheel with cassette would further lighten the bike, and bring it a bit more up to date.

1990 Centurion Momentum (Diamondback) Specs:

Avenir Equipped
Tange Infinity CrMo tubing (Tange tubesets are high-quality double butted CrMo steel)
Lugged frame (approximately 5lbs)
Shimano Exage 300EX: shifters, crank, derailleurs, rear brake caliper
22"/55cm frame
700cX23 wheels/tires
14 speed
Centurion drop bars w/new foam padding/grips
Alloy stem
New disc ready CrMo fork

Centurion was a brand of bicycles created in 1969 by Mitchell (Mitch) M. Weiner and Junya (Cozy) Yamakoshi,[1] who co-founded Western States Import Co. (WSI) in Canoga Park, California (initially Wil-Go Imports) to design, specify, distribute and market the bicycles. The bikes themselves were manufactured initially in Japan by companies including H. Tano Company of Kobe and later in Taiwan by companies including Merida. The Centurion brand was consolidated with WSI's mountain bike brand Diamond Back in 1990. WSI went out of business in 2000.

Francesco Moser vintage Italian road bike - 48cm Columbus frame (Boston)

Date: 2011-02-21, 5:49PM EST
Reply to: sale-qkgjf-2227125628@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

As much as I hate to let this bike go, I simply don’t have time to ride it. I’m going to be out of the country for most of this year so hopefully someone else can make better use of the bike. I’m also in need of money for the big trip.

The Francesco Moser is a vintage Italian bicycle, probably from the early 80’s. There is amazing decorative detail work on the frame: chromed fork and chain stay, pantographed lugs, and bottom bracket casting cutout. The cutout is my favorite detail of the frame; it reads FM for Francesco Moser. Decals on seat tube seem to be smudged in a shop stand clamp but all other decals look pretty good. And of course there is that cool graphic of Francesco on the head tube! Pictures below.

Here are the specifications:

-Columbus frame and fork
-Ofmega crank and headset
-Dura Ace front derailleur
-Shimano 600 rear derailleur
-Universal 68 brakes
-Campagnolo downtube shifters
-Campagnolo seat post.
-Campagnolo dropouts (one rear adjuster screw is bent).
-Nitto stem and drop bars
-Miche competition hubs and Araya rims
-Specialized 700 x 28C touring tires.

I picked up the bike this past summer with intentions to clean it up and ride it but I never had the time. I will also include all the parts I collected for the bike: Soma Ensho saddle (black with yellow accent), used Shimano RSX aero brake levers, complete yellow cork bar tape set, 5 ft of yellow brake cable housing, and a pair of quick release skewers.

Yes, then take that front brake off the bike! I would put value between $600-$1000 depending on overall condition. Those were some of the best track bikes available in the day.

If you want to bid on a bike, use Ebay. CL is not an auction site. I've bought a lot of bikes on CL and never engaged in a bidding war. I walk away at the first mention of "I have a higher offer".

That is a very nice looking bike... now get rid of the tires, brake levers, and saddle(replace with correct parts), and it would be perfect.
