LA City just announced all bars, gyms and restaurants closed as of midnight tonight. Well restaurants can supply delivery or take out food actually.
I live in LA County not LA City so I guess restaurants in our town are allowed to be half open for dining in.
I call domestic travel ban this week.
Got an email a little bit ago from our regional medical director. The corporation is scrambling to figure out exactly how to run our show at this point. Bad time for your dog to get sick.
Oy vey.

We are telling our older and vulnerable patients with chronic but stable conditions to cancel their routine visits with us. For younger and healthier patients who are coming in for a physical or BP/cholesterol check, it’s up to them if they want to postpone coming in for a couple months. I am told we will be offering masks and gloves to every patient who does come in, which I don’t fully agree with as I expect we will run out of masks in a couple weeks and then wtf do we do when we REALLY need some? But it’s not my decision, I am a part owner in the practice but not on the Board.

Hi. I haven't been there in ages, even though it's only 110 miles away.
No clout. Sad.

Here’s a heartfelt plug for Ireland, the Irish, and Aer Lingus. They are full of good sense, good humor, and indiscriminate compassion and no adult is more than a generation away from really hard times. If my daughter has to be overseas, I’m happy she’s there.

Don’t know yet. I will call Occupational Medicine when they open. My whole lab operation is shut down and there is enough writing and bureaucratic nonsense to keep us all busy by telework, which is the default state for everyone. If I can go in, I will volunteer my rusty clinical services on the consult team or wherever I’m needed.

At the top of the downhill section, there's "cyclists may use full lane" signage, no shoulder and it's really not hard to hit 30mph. I move over on to the generous shoulder when I reach the bridge, but there's so much sand/debris leftover that I didn't want to move much further than the fog line. I hope that they get street cleaners out soon, but as it's MN, they might wait another month because there's still the possibility of another significant snowfall or two.

Oh, I will say that I experienced one nice, unforeseen (by me, at least) benefit of having a traffic camera: it quells the rage, a bit. Knowing that I have some ******* on camera, can read his/her license plate and can add it to a public record... it's not much, but it's something, and something is more than the absolute zilch that we normally have available to us.
