All soda is coke, you are all wrong.

I'm drinking my Saturday morning pot of coffee now. No mention of Coke. Put a sprinkle of cinnamon in the grounds for a very subtle hint of flavor. It's rather imperceptible but adds a smoothness that I like once in a while.
Note: The cinnamon anecdote is bonus content.

Of of course they called it pop down there which only further diminished my juvenile view of southern culture.

The thing "bricked" on me when I turned it on, tried the hard reset but nothing happened, plugged it in, nothing, went for a ride sans data. Did the hard reset again, and , its alive.
Riding without data was refreshing, but 30ish missing miles, and pulling the phone out to check the time is a pain.

Back in the day Dr. Pepper had not yet reached the northeast where I came from, so when I first came across it in Texas my reaction was “wtf is this brown colored soda that doesn’t taste like either coke or Pepsi”?
Of of course they called it pop down there which only further diminished my juvenile view of southern culture.

My parents grew up in Pittsburgh, but they shed a lot of their "Yinzerisms" - like they never said "Yinz", for example. Dad would sometimes say "Arn" for iron, or just a hint of 'warsh' for wash, but that was it. It might have been protective coloration in the small town they moved to after the War - everyone's related to each other and they take a dim view of strangers.

In Eastern Pennyslvania, it's soda. In Western Pennsylvania it's pop. I remember going into the Breezewood Rest Stop on the PA Turnpike, roughly in the middle, and I swear to god the machine said "Soda Pop".

I'm just oblivious sometimes. At least I can laugh at myself about it.
Gee, I wonder why this drivetrain is so noisy all the time...

Anyone else notice how pop commercials have gone downhill since the 50s?
