Same idea.
Man, I forgot, or wasn't paying attention at the time, that one of the reasons the bears disappeared is because people were protesting the 9/11 bear.
People are dumb.

My legs were a bit empty and not wanting to go hard after 50+miles on the road yesterday, but I had a really fun time getting dirty with myself on a spectacular Christmas Eve morning.

Should I buy a pair of cowboy boots and attend this? Maybe invite DougRNS , for our exchange of gifts? Does he seem like the rodeo type?

I think I need a new cold weather cycling Jacket. The current one is over 10 years old and it’s blue, which is a fine color but I think I want a bright yellow one for better visibility.
I am guessing all the cool kids choose a Castelli Perfetto jacket, but they go for $289. Any suggestions for a thrifty cyclist? Or should I splurge since it’s a once-a-decade purchase?

The first time I ever experienced this hip/back/butt pain, which I have tentatively identified as gluteus medius pain, I had been riding the Bianchi almost exclusively. I kept pushing it a long time. It got to the point where the first 4 miles of a ride started out with actual pain which diminished to "awareness" by mile 4 and went away thereafter, but I was having trouble sleeping with the pain and when I woke up I could barely get out of bed and walk. I got the idea that maybe, just maybe the Q-factor was too much, or something similar. So I switched to the Ritchey, which has the 7410 crank, with one of the lowest Q-factors available. The pain went away within a week or so. Since then, I changed the crank on the Bianchi from the old FSA Gossamer to a Campy Centaur, which should have a low Q-factor.
Fast forward to now. I don't know what set it off, but last Sunday I started having the same pain. Took a day or two to recognize it, but it's the same thing. I did an abbreviated, indoor ride Sunday (rain), and then rested till Thursday, when I did about 20 fake miles including a climb. Then two more rest days.
Last night I got the Bianchi ready to ride, since I haven not been riding it so much this year. Woke up this morning, still with some lingering stiffness and slight pain. I thought, "Sure, I MAY have fixed the issue with the Bianchi, But do I want to risk it?" So I switched the saddle bag, lights, etc. over to the Litespeed. Did 56 miles, including the Ralston Trail, which has FINALLY reopened after being basically closed since last January. By the end of today's ride, the stiffness and pain were all gone and have not recurred at all this evening. I really, REALLY love that bike!! Best Christmas present EVER, even if I did give it to myself!!

I bought some expensive coffee yesterday, well not ubber expensive, but double what I would normally spend on it. I've been looking at it for a couple of weeks. It's a lot of coffee and it is priced high enough that it gives me the heeby jeebies mentally. I have to learn to trust that voice. I bought it yesterday as a Christmas present to myself. Every sip says "garbage water" to me. Doggone it! It has this fruity aftertaste, not a fan. Ah well the search continues..
