Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dropped my bike today. Well more slid down a light pole.

Was at Yorktown Beach and wanted to snap a picture with the water in the background. Bike slid down the light pole. Scuffed the side of the bike but I think I can buff it out.

The picture was never taken.

Today was freeeeeeezing.

I held back from using the 'crash' and 'fall' words when that new cockpit came into the world. But I smelled it.

I like The Whey. It's more expensive, but it has the same stuff Labdoor says is good. https://labdoor.com/
Not more expensive when you wait for the big sales and buy it by the 5 kilo bag as we do.

These look good. But I am guessing they may not be safe to summit in February?

Depends on whether we have any snow/ice obviously but they are higher by 2000 feet than the highest road on Baldy.
Plus, this gives me an excuse to post a pic from Hwy 39.

Try to keep it on one piece a little longer, so that we can ride when I get there.

No. I'm sufficiently sketched out from the description.
