I got this frame on the cheap, it had some battle scars, no cracks or damage just scratched up paint, sanded it down, painted it myself and viola new track bike. It still needs some fine tuning, like shaving down the front axle, and a better stem spacer setup, also a carbon saddle and post to lighten things up a bit, but I think it is ready for a shakedown ride.

An update:
I've had the bike out a couple times on the track now... My main fear was the seatpost slipping as some have experienced. I am happy to report there has been no seatpost slipping. Initially I didn't use carbon assembly paste and it creaked like mad. I went back and put assembly paste on both the seatpost and the collar (the collar is also carbon), and the creaks went away. It's a solid bike.

You should definitely go. Friday night is a sprint tourney and Saturday is all kinds of racing including a keirin tournament.

Dang. I'll be in Florida for vacation until next Sunday or else I would go for sure. Atlanta is only 3 hours from me so that wouldn't be bad. I googled to see if there was a track near by and saw some building plans for one here in Nashville but the last time it was updated was 2011 and I'm thinking it never got started.

Well I did some searching last night and it looks like there is a bike "club" that meets at our local motor speedway in Nashville and rents the track out. But to go you have to be a member of the club and from the looks of the pictures it mainly looks like a bunch guys on road bikes. I might just have to make a trip to Atlanta this summer.

me too! Where does such a thing exist? So many times in the winter I am desperately trying to keep my wheels dry/clean in and out of the track.
These low stems/bars are making my back hurt.

Also, I'd want mine made with material such that I could roll my bike through the auto parking lot debris instead of carrying it.
