I have what looks to be that same bike in a larger size, but with the Simplex ends. It came to me as a bare frame, so can't really qualify as a "survivor," especially since I took a few liberties with a basically period-correct build.

The first Trek I got was a 1984 420. Completely unmolested or maintained. 30 year old grease, but with all the reflectors, the dork disc, all the stock components, bar tape and accessories.

I bought this Huffy Techtra for $5 a few years ago. It looked like it had seen less than 100 miles in its lifetime. I replaced the heavy gumwall tires with some Paselas and it actually had an okay ride. It had nice Araya rims, so I swapped them out and put flat bars on and donated the bike back to the thrift store.

Huffy Techtra

Gorgeous

Actually, this bike reminds me of Johnny Mullet who I don't think we've seen in a long time - he had one of these in the red/white scheme and his posts on that bike were a great read. Huffy had so many models like this one, the 626, and others, that were basically just the same thing just different paint and graphics. But a lot of these were bought by 'non-bike people' and so never really got ridden and can often be found in really nice condition, on the cheap.
