I don't think that I've got hint OCD, but I'm finding that I just can't leave both of the three-way light switches, in my mother in law's kitchen, in the up position with the lights off. I realize that I'm defeating the purpose of the switches, but it's just not right.
-------
-------
I battle that as well. The cleaning crew comes into the office through the back door, while I use the front. Up front there are two switches for the reception area and hall way. In back there is one for the hallway. When they leave, and therefore when I come in the next morning, the front switch has one up and one down. If I didn't like them so much, I'd probably fire them over that.
So it is

As I've probably mentioned, Dad made his living in apples. Other fruit, too, but mostly apples. That guy LOVED apples. He used to eat a 3 or 4 every day, some no doubt filched from Cold Storage. The company he worked for not only was the largest producer of apple sauce in the world, but also sold A LOT of apple juice - Dad would bring home cases of 6 #10 cans of it, dented, from the company commissary.
Anyway, decades ago, he was working with another company for them to supply 'apple essence', to make juice from concentrate taste more like unconcentrated. The apple essence was essentially like a distillate, that captured some of the 'flavor molecules' that evaporate during the concentration process. It smelled INTENSELY of apple. That's what's missing in most concentrates - the lower molecular weight, more volatile components. That's why, to me, fresh orange juice has a flavor reminiscent of tangerines that juice from concentrate lacks.

Just a little earlier today, I was telling bam that the only cycling apparel that I'd planned on purchasing in the near future was a set of Rapha bibs from REI, when their spring member sale was on and they handed out 20% off vouchers.
Welp, Big Brother Google must have been listening, because I was promptly served up an REI ad notifying me of said Rapha bibs at 25% off. In addition, they'd be eligible for the 10% member dividend (which isn't valid when using the 20% off voucher). On top of that, I'd get another 5% for using my REI credit card.
Yup, that was just too much to pass up, so now I have to drive up to Richmond to pick them up in a few days. Let's hope that weather cooperates and I actually get to wear them while in VA the next two weeks.

Could be.
A couple of weeks ago I got a call from our security company for the house telling me that a door from the garage to the house opened and triggered the alarm. I told them not to call the cops, and I would head over to check it out as we've had some false alarms from wind and such in the past. Half way there, the security company called again and told me that there was now a front door entry, and they recommended calling the cops. I told them not to as I was almost there. When I arrived, I saw a car that I did not recognize in the driveway, got real nervous, and so I called 911 from my car.
Then, I realized that it was cleaning day. I cancelled the 911 call, went into the house, and found the couple that cleans it (same couple as the office) going about their business and doing their work while the alarm is blaring away. When I went upstairs to tell them that I nearly called the cops on them, I scared the living crap out of Salvador as he did not hear me come in.
Seems my wife forgot they were coming when she left for work, and set the alarm.

I hear it's hard to find the home antigen tests out there, too.
