I went out tired and came back in tireder. But I'm glad I went; I have the whole day to recover. The Mrs.is flying north, in mid August, to greet the new grandson. She flies out of Cancun, since that's the only airport with real international flights. When she went to book her bus ticket, she found that there are no buses, to speak of. So I will drive her over. We will have to leave the house no later than 3:30 AM. So I'm practicing early to bed early to rise. This the tiredness outbound

I used Ip Bike ANT+ when I had an Android phone. Worked good for recording data, never used it for navigation though. Connected to everything.

Has it been stated that they all will be tubeless-only? I figured that was a 303 thing for the CX/ gravel/ classics crowd. The 303 has always been an outlier in the range.

Ah, I had ANT+ on the phone. I'm now on Apple (no more ANT+) and a power meter that's ANT+ only. I should see if I can get my other sensors BT paired with Ride with GPS. Someday.

No, no statement either way, but the touting of Total System Efficiency™ strikes me as a paradigm shift for the company and I wouldn't be surprised if most, but not necessarily all, were to go that route.

Oh, does RwGPS do sensors? Hadn't thought of that - I only use them on the desktop for route planning.

After getting the Wahoo juiced up, I took a look at the settings - the Auto-off got shut off again (I usually have it set at 15 minutes). There have been a couple of updates recently; I wonder if the setting got scrubbed with one of them.

Looks like their upcoming AR 41 DB are pretty on-trend - 30mm wide, 21mm internal (hooked), $1300 (same as the 303S). They're slightly heavier (1630g, 80g more than the 303S), but look like a good option if you want to run tubes.
I'm wondering if it's just manufacturing improvements that are moving prices down or if some of the Taiwanese direct sellers are having a influence... regardless, there are a lot more good options at a little over $1k than there were just a year ago.

Warning: I have a 3 day weekend and hope to ride Fri/Sat/Sun, weather permitting.
I use no sensors other than the Angi (crash detector) on my helmet.

I don't harbor any realistic hopes of being on top; I'll probably end up somewhere around 200, weather and family permitting. I had hoped to get out for a longer ride today, but a drive-through zoo visit in the late morning threw a wrench in the works.

I just got an email invitation to do a century on Saturday! Looks like 250+ is possible for me. If I am stoopid enough to accept the invitation, that is.
