I got this bike for touring around Long Island, NY and the surrounding area. I know it's a bit unconventional, but it blends what I liked about the old '89 Giant Iguanna I converted for road riding (like my steel frame - albeit heavy, the Zoom Braham bars I really like, and my thumb shifters) with some of what I've been missing (a lighter frame, better components, better gearing, etc.).
2004 Bianchi Strada
Reynolds 520 DB CrMo Frame
Bianchi Carbon Fork
Sugino RD 4000T, 30/42/52T Crankset
Shimano cartridge Bottom Bracket
SRAM 970 11-32, 9 Speed Cassette
Shimano Tiagra Front Derailleur
SRAM X-7 9spd Rear Derailleur
Shimano HG-53 Chain
Shimano Long-Reach Caliper Brakes
Shimano Levers
Kalloy Adjustable Rise Stem
Selle Italia Onda Sudy Saddle
RockShox Road Suspension Seat Post
Upgrades:
Zoom Fast Track Bars (lots of hand positions), (replaced Kalloy handlebar).
Suntour XC Expert Thumbshifters (see image), (replaced SRAM X-7 Shorty Shifters).
(Old School, Baby. They are so smooth and quiet... I'll trade the indexing for smooth and quite any day. Plus, I like being able to trim my front derailleur when I need it.)
Mavic Open Pro rims and Shimano Ultegra hubs (replaced Mavic CXP-22 32h rims and Shimano Tiagra hubs).
Specialized Armadillo All Condition 700x28c tires (replaced Continental Sport 1000 700x25c).
Bontrager Pedals with Toes Straps (Will move to WTB clipless included with bike once I get the bike dialed in, and get some shoes.)
Other Add-Ons:
Cateye Astrale 8 Computer
Specialized Body Geometry Bar Phat Tape
Blackburn XR1 Crossrack
Topeak Morph Pump (Road)
Topeak Medium Wedge Bag
2004 Bianchi Strada
Reynolds 520 DB CrMo Frame
Bianchi Carbon Fork
Sugino RD 4000T, 30/42/52T Crankset
Shimano cartridge Bottom Bracket
SRAM 970 11-32, 9 Speed Cassette
Shimano Tiagra Front Derailleur
SRAM X-7 9spd Rear Derailleur

Even though my Scattante is still the bike I dream about and I'm sure one of the reasons I love to ride so much, I found myself needing a bike to use when playing with the kids. You know something to just screw around on.
Enter my latest score. My new, urban assault vehicle. A 2003 Jamis Durango. I got it at Performance for $299.00. An 04 model was $619.00. I know the '04 has some upgrades but this is a curb jumpin', wheely ridin', cat chasin bike. I simply added some 26x1.5 slicks and voila!

"Nice one!"
Thank you Sir!
Sure, its not a top flight bike, but it is a fairly good road bike.
So far I am very happy with the performance. The best part?
Brand new I paid only $625.00

New to road biking so my bike is new, probably only 30 miles on it so far (cyclocomputer shows up this am). '03 Marin Argenta, steel frame with carbon fork and seat stays. Shimano Tiagra. Good start and hope to build on it down the road.

Here's my road ride, a 1984 Dave Moulton with all SR Campy components, original paint, Mavic GP-4 tubs, Cinelli 1/A & Giro de Italia, Concor saddle, Benotto plastic tape, 6-speed Sachs frwl Shimano Dura Ace 8-speed chain. I use the Look pedals so I can ride with current Sidi shoes-it's too difficult to find shoes to use with cleats, toe straps/cleats.
I really enjoy the ride of the Moulton, so stable, tracks true, and absorbs road shock well. It's confidence-inspiring, a real treat.

Greetings,
I am a new rider, with no pictures of my bikes. I have a TREK 7500 Hybrid and a Giant OCR-2 which has been upgraded with 105's front and rear, plus I added a carbon seat post and am having a carbon fork installed.
